The Sour Dough: Look out world!!! Here comes Breadchick.....
http://breadchick.blogspot.com/2004/12/look-out-world-here-comes-breadchick.html
Wednesday, December 22, 2004. With cinnamon and chocolate. I let it rise all day while I was work and came home to a "Godzilla" stollen! It had risen so well it took over the jellyroll pan it was on and was so big when it baked that I had to cut it in two to take it to work. I frosted it with a heavily vanilla flavoured cross between butter crème frosting and a glaze. It didn't last long at work. Well guess that is enough for my first post. Besides, there is a starter, a cat, AND MBH to feed. Recipe - Be...
The Sour Dough: February 2011
http://breadchick.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 16, 2011. A Babeiversary: Three Years of Breads, Bitchin' and Buddies. Well, well, well. In the past three years this little band of sisters has done a lot both in the kitchen and out of the kitchen but the one constant has been every month since February 2008, a bread has been baked in most of our ovens. During our first year, the one bread that struck fear in the hearts of all us and still sends shivers down the spines of my sisters was the uber-wet dough Crocodrillo. My office mate...

Saturday, September 11, 2010. WCB: A Fond Farewell For A Few. We're hosting Weekend Cat Blogging. This weekend and it is a bit of sadness that Mom is letting me announce that this will be the last time that we host WCB for this year. Since I only get to use the computer when she is using the computer, it will be really hard for me to host as Mom isn't going to spend much time on the computer. Don't worry, our really good friends Othello, Salome and Kashim. Labels: Weekend Cat Blogging. Computer Free Satu...

After 5 days away. The basil looks divine:. I also wanted to share a photo of the lovely and creative produce bag I received from Melissa at The Color Green. Plastic bags. Wednesday, February 3, 2010. When you make a mistake, pretend you wanted it that way . . . Soon I will write a blog post on frugal solutions for bread baking. One of my frugal baking strategies is to use Freecycle (www.freecycle.org) or freebies on Craigslist when I can. She left it outside on her porch for me and I picked it up the next day. She raves about these baguettes which are a recipe from Daniel Leader’s. Was my sense of smell off because of the recent upper respiratory stuff? The finished rye b...

Baby Bobby's Bread Blog: June 2009
http://babybobbysbreadblog.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. DMIL (Dear Mother-In-Law) just moved into assisted living from her home of 40 years, so we trekked down to San Diego to see her new digs. We stayed at the home of my husband's sister and her family. Instead of treating them to a dinner out that we can't really afford right now, I made a pizza dinner for our hosts. I took my dough bucket, dough whisk, scale, oil sprayer, and some yeast with us and we bought the other ingredients there. I used this recipe. It's always a challenge ...

Bread and Chocolate on Whitney Ave. in the center of Hamden is a bakery/café, a culinary gem. Once upon a time, in two lands far far away, a boy and a girl were growing up. She was surrounded by mountains sparkling in the crystal skies. He played and grew in a beautiful town called the City of Eternal Spring. Yet each one dreamed of America and one day, after each had many adventures and took many chances, here they were. MONDAY - THURSDAY 7 AM - 4 PM. 7 AM - 3 PM. 8 AM - 2 PM. HAMDEN, CT 06518 -.
