The Breadcrumb Runner: When Everything Goes Wrong
http://breadcrumbrunner.blogspot.com/2009/10/when-everything-goes-wrong.html
Following the morsels of a girl and her Garmin. Friday, October 30, 2009. When Everything Goes Wrong. Oh Crap. The alarm didn't go off. Where's my race bib? Yikes, there aren't any bananas to eat! Most of my running clothes are dirty. And where on Earth did I put my running shoes? Fast forward 10 minutes. I hope this car can run on fumes and get me to the race. Just my luck. I think I'm suppose to turn here.wait, no, I missed my exit! I'm going to be late. What was my goal for this race again? Preparatio...
The Breadcrumb Runner: The Athlete's Hangover
http://breadcrumbrunner.blogspot.com/2009/03/athletes-hangover.html
Following the morsels of a girl and her Garmin. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Several days ago, I decided to do some weight lifting. I hadn't done it regularly for a while, but with visions of my future strong-self plastered on a Wheaties box, I stupidly did (way) too much, too fast. Today is going on the fourth day after this upper body workout, and I'm feeling pain and extreme tenderness in muscles I never even knew existed. I am also sad to inform you that cool-downs do not assist in reducing post-exercis...

Following the morsels of a girl and her Garmin. Thursday, September 24, 2009. Runs (Not Dances) With Wolves. Okay, so maybe not wolves. But your friend Fido, depending on his/her breed, might enjoy going for a run with you every now and then. Especially if you have a larger pooch, running with them may be a good option for both you and the dog. You'd have a protective running companion (who needs to. Themselves with pepper spray when you have a dog would could take off an. So what breeds, then,. If you h...
The Breadcrumb Runner: Side B...Er, I Mean, Side Stitches.
http://breadcrumbrunner.blogspot.com/2009/07/side-ber-i-mean-side-stitches.html
Following the morsels of a girl and her Garmin. Saturday, July 11, 2009. Side B.Er, I Mean, Side Stitches. You're running along your route on a hot day, not a care in the world. But, all of a sudden,. It feels like someone is sticking a knife in your side. If you've ever felt the notoriously gut-wrenching pain characteristic. Of a side stitch, it's something you probably never want to feel again. What exactly is a side stitch? Exact causes are not known, but believed to be the simultaneous. Is always nec...
The Breadcrumb Runner: Spectatorship For Dummies
http://breadcrumbrunner.blogspot.com/2009/07/spectatorship-for-dummies.html
Following the morsels of a girl and her Garmin. Friday, July 31, 2009. Dear seemingly innocent spectators,. It has come to my attention, throughout the past several years of my racing experiences, that although sometimes your choice of encouraging words is impeccable, at other times, it is down right deplorable. Near the end of a 5k in which every muscle in my body feels dead, each sweet breath I take can barely sustain me, and I am suffering in every meaning of the word, the absolute. You can take 'em!

I’m really glad that the DRC Breakfast Bash 5M that I ran on Saturday morning wasn’t supposed to be taken as an actual race for me. Competetor . com. While the above picture isn’t exactly what happened to me during the race it was probably the longest 5 miles. Of. My. Life. Grand total pre-race: 9. Minutes even, which is a 9:39. September 13, 2011. It’s Looking Like I’m Training. 8212; Tags: Group Run. 8212; marathonmaiden @ 12:11. I think I really should invest in internet soon. Having to use the wireless in the Leasing Office at my apartment complex means having to use it between 09-1700 M-F and that’s prime time for interviews (fingers crossed! The plus to all that is that I have a few workouts under my belt to talk about and can make this post decent with running. Best of luck to all who are trying to get in! The alarm was s...
To Race or Not To Race | MarathonMaiden's Blog
https://marathonmaiden.wordpress.com/2011/08/31/to-race-or-not-to-race
August 31, 2011. To Race or Not To Race. 8212; Tags: Group Run. 8212; marathonmaiden @ 12:43. It’s probably a silly question. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love racing: going fast is awesome. But on the other hand, I’ve let myself get way out of racing shape. Mostly by running long and slow but also not taking care of myself terribly well this past summer. In retrospect maybe I could have done things differently but whatever, I did what I needed to do. The first week that I was here (and for those of you...

September 1, 2011. Of Ladders and Recovery and Racing. 8212; Tags: Group Run. 8212; marathonmaiden @ 16:18. First off I need to give a HUGE shoutout to my girl Lesley. For hanging out/driving me to Super Target for groceries. She’s the BEST! I actually ran into her during our long runs this past Saturday (we ran by each other) and hopefully I can get together and run with her someday (and go to the zoo. Remember now, you promised😉 ). I swear I’m not 5 years old and/or her 4th kid. The only saving grace ...
Being Smart? Or I’m just lazy… | Madame Pickle Runs
https://runnerwoman.wordpress.com/2009/02/01/being-smart-or-im-just-lazy
I have not forsaken the blog. Or I’m just lazy…. Here’s my story for the week. I was enjoying a planned 7 miler on Friday, and feeling good. Three miles in, I had to take a bathroom break…hopped off the ‘mill, did my thing, and then hopped back on and kicked it into high gear. Bam. My groin. The pain was pretty ruthless, so I cut the run short and headed home, a little freaked. 3 Responses to “Being Smart? Or I’m just lazy…”. Feed for this Entry. On February 3, 2009. Now thats what I call sensible Miss P!

Breadcrumb Reads
Friday, October 7, 2011. I've Moved from Blogger to WordPress! I've finally decided to move (back) to WordPress. I love the clean lines of those templates, and the many ways I can clean up the blog for easy navigation and still. Have so many things in that one blog! Most of you who read my blog frequently will have realised that I've been quite impatient, changing its look every two or three days in the last three or four months! I won't be transferring the contents of this. Links to this post. If you ha...

The Breadcrumb Runner
Following the morsels of a girl and her Garmin. Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Ode to Duct Tape. To wear cotton socks is a common mistake,. But a newbie I was. And mistake I did make. In my clean laundry, not a running sock found,. But sitting innocently in my closet,. Cotton socks were abound. I had no way of knowing the toll I would pay. For wearing those snugly. Which I rue to this day. Grabbing a pair that were thick and long,. To slip them both on. Those plush, warm socks. The back of my mind worried,.

Whatever is the reason that you suffer affliction, you need to know that is never bad for you, if God’s allowed it in your life. God never judge you, just to judge. Eccl 7:3) Affliction is our servant to make us better, make us more like Jesus. Also even Jesus. Work toget...
