Life as I know it. The end has come! Here are just a few pictures of some of my classes after our last lessons together. I really do miss the students, despite ups and downs, they really are worth all the hard work! This was my favourite favourite class! They were the best behaved but still so full of character and we always had fun🙂. We actually had some laughs together🙂. The next class is my kindergarten class. They were a big class, mainly boys, and very naughty! Me and Andy at Ha Long Bay. Which is...

Pedro in Vietnam: October 2010
http://pedroinvietnam.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. After my last post, I feel like I should post something more positive/uplifting. Was teaching. I guess the children picked up on what was happening, because they started to grab me by the hands and pulling/pushing me towards the desk while saying "thầy! Thầy means teacher). It was awesome. I felt bad for the other teacher, but it really made me feel great that the kids liked me and wanted me to stay. For some drinks, and then closed the night with some karaoke. Now to him who i...

Pedro in Vietnam: March 2011
http://pedroinvietnam.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 27, 2011. For the most part, this week had been very uneventful. It started off with a bang: my regular Monday morning breakfast with Tony from Orphan Voice. Training (which ran all week). By Monday night, though, I was feeling pretty sick. Sore throat, which developed into some type of cold/flu. Wednesday, however, was a great day. I woke up to an early breakfast with my girlfriend Audrey. At Bread of Life. There was a lot of chatting, dancing, and even wrestling! I had a great time, and I...

What gives you the right? – Ben Losman
https://benlosman.wordpress.com/2014/01/22/what-gives-you-the-right
What gives you the right? We’re back in Ho Chi Minh City after a month on the road. Wherever we stopped, I interviewed at least one social entrepreneur, each of whom operates a restaurant or retail store that trains, employs, and supports a marginalized group of people. The parallels between the various initiatives gave me the sense of a nascent movement. Though the network seems loose and informal, I’m interested in learning more about its current and potential impact throughout Vietnam. To change someo...
