What's the Deal with the Beales?: October 2010
http://toddandkathybeales.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
What's the Deal with the Beales? Friday, October 15. About a month ago I went down to visit Todd while he was in Montgomery for some AF schooling. While he was there I knew that might be my only chance to get him to a Auburn and a football game. Lucky for us, we had a couple of good choices to pick for games. I thought going to the South Carolina game would be alot. Of fun. It was our first SEC game at home. And let me just say it was a doozy. Drugs for some lemonade! We had awesome seats! We were suppos...

What's the Deal with the Beales? Tuesday, November 30. Denver Rock'n'Roll Half Marathon. Here's a brief summary of how it went . I can honestly say that I'm happy with that time and I think Todd is too. Todd, Me, and TJ. I can now say that I've run a half marathon! I don't think I ever will again, but who cares. The first one is the only one that matters. Todd on the other hand has started training for a full marathon, the New Orleans Rock'n'Roll in February. I think he's crazy. Links to this post. To ge...

Taraon, makan, kdpy.). My adventures in gastronomy. Saturday, September 19, 2009. Shrimp and Avocado Salad (Cobb`s). This is my and Rad`s favorite salad ever. Especially if it`s with Cobb`s dressing. Links to this post. Sunday, September 13, 2009. So timely because yesterday I spotted a lot of jute at the supermarket. If only there were malunggay but I guess I have to be thankful that at least familiar veggies were there. Inabraw is also called dinengdeng. And it usually contains a mixture of veggies.

Taraon, makan, kdpy.). My adventures in gastronomy. Saturday, February 12, 2011. Yesterday, I grated too much carrots than I needed for Ken's carrot hotcakes. I also had some left-over spam bits, cheddar cheese and sausage from yesterday's salad. While I was making Ken's hotcakes, I saw a recipe for parsley muffins at the back of the mix packaging. So I gathered all the leftovers and decided to make muffins with them. Hence the name. 200 g hotcake mix. 1/4 onion minced (1/2 if the onion is small). By pro...

Taraon, makan, kdpy.). My adventures in gastronomy. Monday, January 25, 2010. Sinigang na Tilapia (Ilocano Style). There was a week however, when we had a steady supply of the fish from Solsona, my mother`s hometown and my birthplace. My cousins built a fishpond, let the rain and clean stream ran through it and filled it with a lot of tilapia fingerlings. There were so many fish that even with a simple stick and a tiny bait, in less than a blink and voila, you`ve got yourself a meal! May also be used.

Taraon, makan, kdpy.). My adventures in gastronomy. Sunday, January 2, 2011. Sa Tabitabi na Tabi (旅)1. Note: Tabi (旅) is Japanese for "travel"or "journey". In addition, these danggo are tummy pleasers for all seasons. Prices vary though. These were quite cheap at 150 yen. We found them roasting infront of a very charming house which kinda reminded us of home, a sarisari store and a barbecue stand. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
