The Adventures of Jamie & Annie

The Adventures of Jamie and Annie. Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Day 16 - Continuing north. We had a great time in Tennesssee, so it was sad to leave. But as always, the trip must go on. Denae also had to leave early in the morning. She was going to work, then up to Cincinnati for a friend's wedding. I respectfully declined the specials, and instead scoured the menu for something under $25. I settled for a fish and chips-sorta-dish, Jamie a hamburger. Aren't we classy? Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I was soo...

The Adventures of Jamie & Annie: The Big (not so) Easy!

http://breakingeast.blogspot.com/2010/08/big-not-so-easy.html

The Adventures of Jamie and Annie. Thursday, August 5, 2010. The Big (not so) Easy! This is what I've been looking forward to for a very long time.New Orleans! After hauling all our stuff out from our muggy hotel room in Shreveport, we loaded up trusty old Buddy and hit Interstate 49. Keep in mind that we drove on a Sunday. Since all the good folks were hanging out in the presence of their god, we had the roads pretty much to ourselves. But when we turned onto Highway 190, things turned ugly. Can barely ...

The Adventures of Jamie & Annie: Days 14 - 15 - Sweet Tennessee!

http://breakingeast.blogspot.com/2010/08/days-14-15-sweet-tennessee.html

The Adventures of Jamie and Annie. Sunday, August 8, 2010. Days 14 - 15 - Sweet Tennessee! Next stop: Birmingham, Alabama. You might wonder why on earth we'd want to stay at such a (seemingly) random place, but it's just the perfect stop between New Orleans and Knoxville, Tennessee, where we were headed next. We didn't want to drive too far during such high temperatures. But yeah, I tipped her :). Again Denae and I worked together at KVAL. But it was a fun experience, and it looked like a great place to ...

The Adventures of Jamie & Annie: July 2010

http://breakingeast.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Jamie and Annie. Friday, July 30, 2010. Off the main road. There are so many things about America that I love and adore. I love the diversity, the double standards, the greasy food, and the fact that sometimes you just don't know what's around the bend. I'm really fascinated by small town America. It's as if time stands still in some of those places. Monday, July 26, 2010. Day 7-9 - Speeding through! It was only one thing to do - stock up on cold water and fill the misting bottle. We bo...

Connecting the Dots: December 2010

http://annmaridal.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 31, 2010. 2010 was in many ways a year of change. Jamie and I said goodbye to our circle of friends, our life in Eugene, our habits and went on a cross-country trip. Across the US. As we made our way across the vast continent, we reflected on what we had been through and wondered what was ahead of us. Many have asked me why we moved back to Norway, as if there was some major scandal that drove us here. Umm. no. After 5 years in Oregon, why not try something new. With Natasha and Catie.

OVERPROTECTED!

As melhores coisas da vida são invisíveis. É por isso que nós fechamos nossos olhos quando nos beijamos, dormimos e sonhamos. No sugar, please. No sugar, please. No sugar, please. Das cicatrizes que possuo, as que ainda doem são as internas. Deita aqui do meu lado, deita. Deixa eu colocar minha cabeça sobre teu peito pra poder sentir teu coração bater, sentir teu cheiro. Me fala qualquer coisa que me faça sentir bem, qualquer palavra. Não importa! De cabeça erguida, pois sei que um dia tudo vai pa...

Breaking Education Barriers Blog

Breaking Education Barriers Blog. January 22, 2018. My current read is Lead Like a Pirate. By Shelley Burgess and Beth Houf. A concept discussed in this book is the power of celebrating approximations. As a coach, a leader and a believer in grace and growth, I whole-heartedly believe in this concept. Examples I’ve witnessed this year includes the following:. When a teacher did less talking than the student in a reading conference and the student began to take ownership of their learning. In none of these...
