Even hesitant teenage boys were encouraged to take part and I (Martina, the new Business Support Officer) also picked up a paint brush for the first time since long ago school days. You are here: . Volunteer Day Update 02/07/2016. During the usual volunteer days on the 23rd and 30th of June, work continued on preparing the bypass channel walls for new brickwork. The brickwork is being carried out by Fred and Debra Munford on Saturdays. During the clean up more ground bone was found in the bottom of the channel. Finds included a hat pin from near the Blacksmiths shop and some bottle fragments in the channel. Volunteer Day Update 02/07/2016. May Open Day Gallery.

You are here: . The site is looking really lush now with the grass seed growing well. Finds included an elevator bucket, (retrieved from the river by Adam), and various items found in the new blacksmiths tunnel excavation. Most of the nesting boxes are inhabited and in some cases the young look almost ready to fledge. Sand was placed in the tunnel bottom to check for suspected animal activity - hopefully our visitors will leave footprints! Volunteer Day Update 02/07/2016. May Open Day Gallery.
