Jon and Moni: Chinese people love dancing in public
http://jonandmoni.blogspot.com/2009/08/chinese-people-love-dancing-in-public.html
Monday, August 24, 2009. Chinese people love dancing in public. This is definitely the conclusion I've come to, as beside the evening dancing in every park in the city, there is a traditional dance outside Carrefour every night:. A number of the larger restaurants and hotels also have group exercises in the mornings, which are fun to watch. I have a video of one of the larger ones down the street from the school, but unfortunately it won't upload at the moment. I leave you with a picture of a restaurant/...

Jon and Moni: "Before this battle is over, the world will know that few stood against many"

Sunday, September 21, 2008. Before this battle is over, the world will know that few stood against many". I've just finished watching the film Zulu, which got me thinking about other similar classic scenes in cinema history. Here are some of the ones I've seen:. 1 The Alamo (Davie Crockett at the Alamo). 2 Hoth (The Empire Strikes Back). 3 Helm's Deep (The Two Towers). 4 Rorke's Drift (Zulu). There are probably other candidates, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Posted by Jonathan and Monika.

Friday, July 17, 2009. I did come expecting to be working within a week, but due to the Swine Flu scare, I'm in 'quarantine' - which just means that I can't work for a week, I'm not in isolation or anything and I'm free to settle in otherwise. For this reason, I have been spending the week getting used to living in China (I have been here before, but as I was living on Doulos. With duck drumsticks which was prepared in a similar way to paella (although it tasted nothing like it! Rider on the Wheel.

Friday, July 28, 2006. Weeding, Watering and Wasting away. One beautiful sunny morning in our allotment, Joanne and I got together to enjoy the Summer and do some good old fashioned hard work. We were joined by Peter, who didn't do any work, but took lots of pictures. By a stroke of luck, the sunflower must've known he was coming, as it was in full bloom. Minature rose and marrow flower. Joanne and I are really enjoying this summer in the allotment but due to the heat wave at the moment are melting away!

Jon and Moni: December 2005
http://jonandmoni.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 11, 2005. I'm just about to enter the last week of my first semester, and have both my linguistics and driving tests to look forward to tomorrow. Unfortunately, I developed a fever over the weekend and spent almost all of the day asleep in bed. Hopefully I'll be better by tomorrow, as I can do without being sick with all of the other things I've got to finish before Friday. Meanwhile, if you wanted hard evidence. Jon and Moni: May 2006
http://jonandmoni.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 18, 2006. This might be interesting to follow. I'm not sure if I'd want to be in this family, but I'd be interested to see the results of the test. There are still a lot of questions about how we learn language, whether there is such a thing as an 'innate grammar' etc., this might give some clues as to the answer. The more detailed explanation by the authors. Posted by Jonathan and Monika. Wednesday, May 17, 2006. Posted by Jonathan and Monika. Tuesday, May 16, 2006. Sunday, May 14, 2006.
