Friday, December 5, 2014. The Hardest Year- Part One. It was my second year of high school. The summer beforehand had been nice, overall. I can't remember the details, but I know that once school started back up again, I felt refreshed enough to start classes. My summer vacation hadn't been the problem. The problem was my medicine. I had stopped taking it. In the summer, Mom didn't have to wake me up for school. She didn't have to make me breakfast. She didn't have to give me my meds. That was a mistake.

It doesn't need a fancy name. It's beautiful on its own. I loved my mother. I loved it when she told me how kind I was. I still do, for both. But one night, long ago, I had a single thought. A random thought. It came out of nowhere. This memory isn't blurry, but clear, clearer than my memories of yesterday.
