Aisle Seven

Here's where it all began. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Family at the Farm. We've been wanting to have some family pictures made for a long time, and finally got the opportunity. One of our friends, Kevin Anderson, who is our casual worship leader at our church, does some photography on the side, and we were excited when he said he could do some pics for us! He did a great job, and despite being covered in hay and walking through some crazy places on our farm to get some neat shots, we had fun! Somedays...

Aisle Seven: August 2010

http://breedenaisle7.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Here's where it all began. Sunday, August 22, 2010. So, I Was In a Hurry. Now begin the events of last week. Alex's birthday was Thursday, the day before Charlie's party. PLUS, Alex had this HUGE National Sales Meeting he was going to be gone to for almost the entire next week, and he really needed a haircut. So, mid-afternoon on Thursday, I decide it is time for a haircut. Conversation something like this:. Joy: "Okay, I'm hurrying.". I wished so quickly for a rewind, but the damage was done. He is grow...

Aisle Seven: Sweet Words to Remember

http://breedenaisle7.blogspot.com/2010/12/sweet-words-to-remember.html

Here's where it all began. Saturday, December 4, 2010. Sweet Words to Remember. I had to blog this before I forget the words to this conversation. Charlie had gotten up with a tummy-ache late last night. Alex and I just got over a nasty stomach bug, and I was just so afraid that Charlie was suddenly getting it as well. All I could think of was, "I've been sick all week, I just can't do this again.". Then I heard his little voice in the darkness. Charlie: "Thank you, Mommy.". Me: "Well, you're welcome!

A Taste of the Earth: April 2009

http://atasteoftheearth.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Flagstone short path and a weed-whacking precautio. Sunday, April 19, 2009. Flagstone short path and a weed-whacking precaution. Last summer, the Handyman and I gathered a bunch of flagstone, and that flagstone sat through the winter, untouched. . I have two beds by my backdoor that have dandelions anchored all over.  I've weeded and weeded and weeded and weeded and my mom's even come to visit and weeded and weeded.  . There's been quite a lot of weeding. . If you're wondering about the pavers under the ...

A Taste of the Earth: aphid attack

http://atasteoftheearth.blogspot.com/2008/04/aphid-attack.html

This is all Im good for. Four blogs for cooking inspiration. Sign-up day at community gardens. Green tip #2 - craigslist. Wednesday, April 2, 2008. It's still unclear who has the higher number of attacks. My zinnias keep dropping, but I think that's from prior girdling - those teensy weensy little bugs like to hang out under the leaves and snack on the stems. There. Been fewer of them since we started spraying with soap, but there was a bit of a plateau until. someone checked under the benches. And, then...

A Taste of the Earth: September 2008

http://atasteoftheearth.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Monday, September 1, 2008. There's a new look around here, and I'm still pondering whether it works for me. I'll leave it up, and see if it grows on me. Or maybe I'll get crazy with that lasso tool and put something else up. If it makes you dizzy, do share. I don't want to be responsible for the odd headache or seizure just cause you're trying to figure out whether that's a giant purple Christmas ornament or an eggplant flying across the sky. (BTW, it's the latter.). Links to this post. Eat close to home.

http://atasteoftheearth.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 13, 2010. There are perks to dating a handyman. Especially one who welds. I was pretty excited to have peas this year, and even more excited that the Handyman made me a scrap tower for the peas to climb. With all the cool weather we've been having in Missoula, my peas are going crazy! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The little yellow house. Last year it was aphids. This year, there was one hot day in the greenhouse after spending two weeks longing for sun in my mudroom - these guys were toast. The tomatoes and nasturtiums and sweet peas along with many others are looking FANTASTIC.  It's just the zinnias.  I'm cursed.). Links to this post. Monday, May 18, 2009.

Wednesday, February 04, 2009. Around the Country in 9 days. So, our little fam has just returned from our trip back southeast (AL, TN, SC) and we had an absolute blast! Craig and his girlfriend, and Jared, we made the long drive to Dad's in South Carolina. Dad and Sue were all geared up for our tardy Christmas and they were so sweet to even leave their decorations up for us! We also got to hang out with Deedee, Brent, and the kids the entire time! Little Town on the Prairie

Wednesday, April 1, 2015. In January some friends and I took a girl's trip to Denver for the weekend. There are so many great women and young families around Quinter, but here's a glimpse of just a few of the special ladies that I enjoy spending time with. We stayed at the historical Brown Palace in Downtown Denver. They still had their Christmas lights up so it was extra beautiful inside. We did some shopping, some relaxing and LOTS of talking. Out on the town with cheesecake in tow. Forgot to post thes...
