I have only had a few visits with B, but they all have been great and I loved each one. The first two visits were within the first two years after placement. The other two visits were just last year. There was a distinct difference between my reactions from the first two and the second two. It was so wonderful to see him!

And then two days after that was the anniversary of when I placed little B in the arms of his parents. That story is one for another time. There has been something on my mind that I can't not stop thinking about. It was a conversation I had with a friend of mine on B's birthday. For some reason it wasn't the best B birthday I have ever had.

Many of her posts recently has struck cords in my heart and even brought me to tears. Last week it was this one: Hope offers peace and perspective. Especially the last three paragraphs.
