Brenner Life: This place is a ZOO!!
http://brennerlife.blogspot.com/2008/04/this-place-is-zoo.html
Saturday, April 19, 2008. This place is a ZOO! Today we went to the zoo and it was a zoo in more ways than one. This is really the first nice weekend we have had here in Colorado and we decided to hit the zoo with the kids. IT WAS A ZOO! A lot of people at the zoo today and I can say it was the first time I have been to the Denver zoo and had such a hard time finding a parking spot. We had a great time with the almost 80 degree weather! Here are some pictures from our trip today. This place is a ZOO!

Wednesday, March 19, 2008. It is now 4 weeks and going strong of sickness for the Brenner household. It started off with the kids both having a fever. Then Jaime and I both had scratchy throats and now the past two weeks have been filled with a runny nose for me and Jaime and now Jackson is pushing the fever again. HEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWWWW! Is anyone else going through this sickness crap with their families? Coach John going over the rules.I like John. His only rule to the kids is HAVE FUN! This is a...

Friday, February 29, 2008. I think Jackson is the only on in the whole family that is feeling somewhat normal. He isn't really showing any signs of being sick. Everyone cross their fingers! I did manage to get some pictures last week of a healthy Emma pushing her brother around in one of this birthday presents. Last night Jackson fell asleep in Jaime's arms with our newest addition, Lilly. I got this picture. Have a good weekend everyone! Thursday, February 21, 2008. The Jack London Story. Enjoy the pict...

Thursday, April 15, 2010. B-Man's eyesight test at school this year showed he's a little farsighted. So he became the first kid in the family to get glasses. He was excited because he gets to wear specs like his friend, Presten. Keep in mind, this is the same kid who remembers to bring his lunch bag (and its velcro snack/sandwich bags, ahem, homemade by Mom. Home every other day . at best. We'll see how it goes. Let's hope the other kids have Dad's eyesight. Looking Very Handsome there, B-Man!

Saturday, June 19, 2010. We had some lemon slices left over from a house party last night, and Izzy put one in her water. After she drank it, she found a lemon seed and asked where in the yard she could plant it. Mom: Lemon trees won't grow here, honey. Izzy: Yes, they do! Mom: How many lemon farms have you seen in this area? Walks away before Mom can respond - the little punk*. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Check out mom's ETSY shop. Family Tyes on Etsy. Monday, January 25, 2010. From the mouths of babes . Every house has its catchphrases - little things that, once said, catch on and find their way into conversations for years afterward and become in-jokes. With four kids, we have quite a few. Here are some of our favorites. Hello, ladies - I'm riding with you! Then why don't you marry it? When Gabi was, ahem. The funniest thing was the way she said it - under her breath, as an almost-embarrassed aside. Daddy, I love it when you take me swimming. AND.
coopd-up: Open Mic Night!
http://coopd-up.blogspot.com/2010/09/open-mic-night.html
Sunday, September 12, 2010. One of our favorite hangouts, a coffee shop/art gallery in town called A Place to Land, has an Open Mic Night every couple of weeks. We like to watch our buddy Chris Daugherty, a local musician, play some Bob Dylan and (mostly) folk rock. Usually, Chris lets us try some of his instruments . And then we strut our stuff. Sometimes it's just us, and sometimes there's a big crowd. And sometimes Chris joins us on an accompanying instrument (and vice versa). And here's some video .

Friday, February 26, 2010. It's been five years this month since our family grew from three to six. Coming from a family of four, I never thought I'd want a family so big - and children so close together in age. (Callie always wanted a brood - the number "10" was bandied about before we got married, and I pretended not to hear it.). I lost them all, of course. Every parent does. But here is a little of what I gained:. A four-part chorus of laughter, several times a day. Soccer games and concerts. Thanks ...

Saturday, March 28, 2009. We'd like to tell Mom HAPPY 33rd BIRTHDAY today! She got some cool presents and an evening out without the kids. We had lots of fun . almost as much fun as her casino-themed 30th birthday a few years ago. Here's a birthday flashback to that time long ago, a more innocent time full of wonder and hope . and slot machines. (And watch the first words out of Mom's mouth that were directed toward Dad: "Did you VACUUM? This year, Mom got this cool sign promoting Family Tyes.

Thursday, April 9, 2009. Your story with our family started 10 1/2 years ago. You were a gift to my husband-to-be. We had talked about getting a dog, and so I searched. I found you at the Humane Society in Muscatine. (Grammy was along, to see Daddy's reaction! Three barks in my direction was all it took. You were ours. I'm not getting down off this futon. Sit somewhere else. Daddy was not quite thrilled the first time he saw you, sitting in my parents' living room. Here's how it went:. No, it's not.

Tuesday, March 9, 2010. We Had Joy, We Had Fun. Sometimes, on a cold day, you just need a little sunshine. And a warm buddy to snuggle up to. Sunday, March 7, 2010. One Man's Trash . Izzy's fourth-grade class assignment: Make a car/vehicle out of recycled materials. All you need is a big bin of recyclables (and make sure you catch Dad before he takes them to the big bin outside) . An imaginative (and handy) brother . A mom to supervise . Four cans, and a box. Not bad, eh? Saturday, March 6, 2010.
