June 15, 2009. One weekend at the sea. Thinking that it will be a long weekend, I and my friends went to San Fernando, La Union to have a taste of the humid place. We went to this Ocean Paradise resort and rented one cottage where we stayed for a night. T’was fun to be playing with the tides and sifting the sand on my palm. And then the sunset came. January 7, 2009. This was sent through a text message to me by a friend, something we can reflect upon:. Feelings and emotions change. It doesn’t mean that if you don’t feel in love for each other anymore, the love is gone. If love were only feelings, then there is no such thing as lasting. Love can sometimes turn numb or even be boring. But no matter what, as long as you choose and decide to still continue, it will be more beautiful. Perhaps love is just taking a rest. Love maturely, not idealistically.

Last month, I and my students went to Bayyo to participate in the Solid Waste Management Program campaign that was facilitated by my good classmate in graduate school, Ate Lyna.
