Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Changes in the neighbourhood. More changes abound. On Smith, we have the hole at Bloom. This project is both townhomes and apartments. This is behind Safeway. Oh sorry, behind where Safeway was - but is no more. Safeway closed last week - and already the fence is up and the diggers have moved in. Probably, though the biggest casualty this week is. Sunday, August 4, 2013. Yes October 26 will see the residents of Burquitlam, along with the rest of Coquitlam, go to the polls to vote for a couple of new council members. From the Tri-City News. So far one person that we know of has put their name forward. But where is the representation for Burquitlam? We badly need someone in our corner as evidenced by the Foster "Fiasco". Watch for local All Candidate's meetings. And let's get in there and ask some tough questions. Links to this post. In 2011, when c...

Burquitlam Station: November 2013
http://burquitlamstation.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 28, 2013. Thank you, EGRT for the power outage today. It's great that we get no warning, and there is no consideration for the people that live here. Thank you for making our lives a little bit harder than you already do. We don't mind you coming in and making a bunch of noise and tearing up the joint. But how about some consideration for the people that live and work here? Links to this post. Sunday, November 24, 2013. Traffic - with a comment. Between Clarke Road and Elmwood Street.

God forbid we should actually be developing a compassionate, caring neighbourhood. One of those cats might jump onto a skytrain for free and the skycops would have to fine it. No wait, they don't fine the humans: the cats are probably safe. Links to this post. Sunday, February 17, 2013. Links to this post. Simpl...

Burquitlam Station: January 2015
http://burquitlamstation.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 3, 2015. Yes, it's been a year. Too much going on, change at work, more responsibility - it snowballed - so I'm going to summarize 2014 in pictures:. And finally they have done this section, and put in snazzy light poles. North Road is still a mess - there's nothing to say about that. The EGRT rep came to us and explained they need non-rainy weather to finish, so don't look for that until next year. In the meantime, a bit less of a battle zone. Links to this post. Yes, its been a year.
