Cranky Scott: Dickie Scramble Weekend
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2014/05/dickie-scramble-weekend.html
Friday, May 2, 2014. Last weekend we headed down to Elgin, MN for the Dickie Scramble. We did the ride last year and we thought that we would give it a go again this year. The ride also gave us a good excuse to get out and use or camper that we got last fall. So Friday after work we loaded up and headed out. This was our first trip with the camper so I was not sure how everything would go. The trip down was good with no issues, we were all set up and had dinner going by 8. The rest of the ride was pretty...

Cranky Scott: October 2014
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Heck of the North 2014. The course was kept under wraps until Friday night and all we really knew was that the race would be 110 miles and the check point was at mile 67 in Lester Park. So that meant extra food and water for the first half. Larry looking really excited for the snowmobile trail. Nice job everyone, just getting to Lester was a challenge. The aftermath. I was so glad that I put my rear fender on, I was not a muddy mess! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Cranky Scott: October 2013
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 18, 2013. The weather on Sunday was great; we woke up to full sun and highs in the 50’s, perfect for fall riding. Trail conditions were great! I’m always surprised with how well Cuyuna can handle the wet weather, there were very few puddles on the trails. Kyleen taking a break! The view from the Hopper Hill overlook. Just before the fun downhill on Easy Street. The Fatty in it's natural environment. All loaded up with some new red dirt on the tires. Monday, October 7, 2013. Kyleen and I m...

Cranky Scott: August 2013
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. We have been busy lately and I have not had much time to get stuff posted up on here. So I thought that I would just do a quick update with what we had going on. Hopper Hill Overlook, I think that every Cuyuna rider has this picture. We earned some good beer! Kinley was enjoying the deck and keeping a watch eye on the yard. We closed out the 4th with a nice fire and some fireworks across the lake. In her age group and this was her first podium finish. I’m very proud ...Up next...

Cranky Scott: September 2013
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 13, 2013. Rolling Darryl's on a diet. When I built up my fat bike, I had the intention of saving some money and drilling out the rims myself. I had some spare time so I decided to take on the project. I started by marking the rim for the holes and then drilling 1/16” and 1/8” pilot holes in each location. I made a fixture to hold the wheel while drilling, it made holding the wheel easier. The bike feels a bit snappier and it looks cool too! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Cranky Scott: November 2013
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 7, 2013. Fall Rides and a New Toy. They both just sat there while I took out my phone to snap a picture. I was about 20 feet from the bigger one. Can you see the smaller one? We did take advantage of a nice Sunday afternoon a week or so ago and we headed down to Lebanon Hills. We have not ridden there in a long time, man has that trail changed. I rode the Tallboy, it felt different compared to the fat bike, I took me bit to get used to it. Where did the trail go? The Surly Big Fat Dummy.

Cranky Scott: Chequamegon Metric 100 recap
http://crankyscott.blogspot.com/2014/07/chequemagon-100-recap.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Chequamegon Metric 100 recap. No real pictures for this post, I was to busy riding to take any. The weekend of June 20th we loaded up the camper and headed up to Cable, WI for the Chequamegon metric 100. I signed up for the metric version of the race, 62 miles of prime CAMBA singletrack. I have been riding quite offen, but with all the rain singletrack miles were limited. I rolled into Three Rivers Eatery at about 5:10. I had finished in 9 hours 12 minutes, I was thinking that...
