http://hberlinburns.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Chalk and Wire/ Liscensure. This week's lecture really got me thinking about all the little details of the Education department I need to be thinking about. For example, right now I have no idea which state I want to get liscensed in. What differences between states do I need to look at to help me decide? I am thinking either Minnesota or Wisconsin, but I really have no idea. Maybe international! Thursday, September 18, 2008. Write and Wrong" reaction. This is my family las...

Anna Loves Ed. Psych.: Reflection
http://kenyan01.blogspot.com/2008/12/reflection.html
Anna Loves Ed. Psych. Friday, December 12, 2008. After my first semester taking education courses, I thought it would be beneficial to write some thoughts about what I have learned over the semester. I learned a lot of information regarding good teaching, testing, writing IEP's. Parent-teacher relationships and much more. The main discovery that I had was that I truly want to be a teacher. Even with all of the stuff we have to do to graduate and get a license. December 14, 2008 at 11:55 AM. Final Thought...

Luther Music Education: Raising Small Souls
http://studentslutherdeavka01.blogspot.com/2008/10/raising-small-souls.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. I really enjoyed this video. Even though it was made for parents, I think it is definitley pertinent to what we've been talking aboout in class. November 5, 2008 at 10:34 PM. Teaching and parenting are two very different, yet not-so-different things! Teachers just have to make sure they don't start treating students like their own children (although they do have to show students that they care! December 10, 2008 at 6:07 PM. I liked it. Thanks for showing me this Katie.

Ed 220 Reflections: A Lesson on Cooperative Leraning
http://hberlinburns.blogspot.com/2008/12/lesson-on-cooperative-leraning.html
Monday, December 1, 2008. A Lesson on Cooperative Leraning. Group projects are great in cultivating interpersonal skills, but they can also be stressful and time-consuming! December 8, 2008 at 7:59 AM. It's hard to tell how a group will work together. It brings up the question of whether or not group work is a positive learning experience. December 10, 2008 at 4:29 PM. Ed 220 Reflections: Chalk- part 1
http://hberlinburns.blogspot.com/2008/11/chalk-part-1.html
Thursday, November 20, 2008. When i think about it this teacher and the others are really not too far off from how some teachers truly act. When thinking about some of the actions of the teachers in the film, I have a hard time thinking of what I would do differently. Hopefully the 2nd half of "Chalk" will give me some ideas. Yes, the first year history teacher had some classroom management issues. as will we, at some point. Let's just hope we handle it a bit better! December 8, 2008 at 7:55 AM. We can't...

Ed 220 Reflections: Ed psych topics pertinent to other subjects
http://hberlinburns.blogspot.com/2008/11/ed-psych-proving-helpful-in-other.html
Friday, November 7, 2008. Ed psych topics pertinent to other subjects. What I find difficult about Ed courses is that a lot of time we learn the theory behind what we're doing, but not much practice on day-to-day skills we'll actually be using in the classroom- lesson plans are going to be very important! Anna Loves Ed. Psych. Wednesday, November 19, 2008. After watching the first half of. I fell in love with the movie. It mixed realistic situations that teachers go through with humor. Although I was laughing through the majority of the movie, I found myself analyzing all of the characters and their situations. Thing is that he reminds me of some of my teachers in high school. They were fun, but I didn't learn a whole lot because they weren't very prepared. These are my thoughts on. I am a Vocal Music Edu...

Anna Loves Ed. Psych.: November 2008
http://kenyan01.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Anna Loves Ed. Psych. Saturday, November 29, 2008. After reading Randy Pausch's "The Last Lecture," I felt very inspired to not only follow my own dreams, but to enable the dreams of my students. I guess that is my main dream: I want to be a teacher who inspires her students, let them know that nothing is out of reach. In his book, Randy Pausch gave advice on how to overall be an effective teacher. Here is a list I have comprised about advice he gives to teachers:. 4)Make every moment a learning opportun...
