Take 1000 of this year's A level students and ask them to sit the exam papers that were set 20 years ago. I vaguely remembered the story of Lot and his wife from those dark Catholic days in various nunneries and monasteries where, despite the lunacy, I managed to find an education. Wasn't he the only one worth saving in Sodom, so God told him to leg it just in time? What I didn't realise was the shenanigans that went on before and after his departure.
