Just another WordPress.com site. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. April 12, 2012. After doing some reading I discovered a technique where people place their fermentors into a tub of water which dissipates the heat generated by the yeast faster than sitting in the open air. This helps keep our fermentors at the same temperature as the surrounding air. Next step was to add a bunch of water bottles to our freezer. Keeping our apartment at 68-70 degrees while using this method only used on...

Bottling The Witbier And Pale Ale Update | brewingnoob

Just another WordPress.com site. Skip to primary content. Bottling The Witbier And Pale Ale Update. March 2, 2012. The Cascade Pale Ale I made, which wasn’t very cascadie due to using Czech Saaz hops instead of Cascade, has finally begun to carbonate. I bottled it on January 24th and I tested my most recent bottle on February 29th. So after more than a month it is finally getting fizzy. Its definitely drinkable, and I wont be buying beer at the store for awhile! This entry was posted in Bottling.

Just another WordPress.com site. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Newer posts →. February 17, 2012. After having made a number of standard beers I have been trying to find something a little different to do. Last week I made up a batch of Witbier, or Belgian White Ale, which is similar to Blue Moon. Well the problem is the bacteria and wild yeast tend to smell like death, and must be aged in a carboy for six months and then aged in bottles for up to a few years. As I prefer to keep...

My Cat Thinks I'm Funny. Tuesday, March 13, 2012. How (Not) to Have Girls Night Out. So it's one of THOSE nights. Girls Night. Maybe one of your girls just got dumped. Maybe she just got promoted. Maybe you're all back in town again for the first time in a while. Maybe you just don't know of anything else going on, so the classiest way to say, "We only hang out with each other! Is to say, "You know what we need, ladies? Say it with me: "GIRLS NIGHT! The Socially Awkward Drunk. Have a shot with her.ar...

My Cat Thinks I'm Funny: How (Not) to Maintain Your Ride

My Cat Thinks I'm Funny. Friday, March 2, 2012. How (Not) to Maintain Your Ride. I've been obsessed with driving, and the freedom that my own vehicle has always represented. Believe it or not, when I was 16, that Subaru made me the shit, as far as I was concerned. It would be years until I realized that Subarus are universally acknowledged to be the cars of lesbians and soccer moms, and that most people who met me would refer to it as the "Lezbaru." You know what? I can live with that. Going in to the se...

Finally feel like I’m making some headway with this damned design. Needless to say, because of my own cluelessness, the final product is not looking very much the way I envisioned it…. My Cat Thinks I'm Funny. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. How (Not) to Fart at School. A few days ago, one of my classmates, Jack. Made the mistake of writing that I "could write about absolutely anything and [he] would thank [me] for doing so." Little did he know that I was already hard at work on this post, determined to tackle even the most taboo of societal problems. Will this result in my being shunned? And "Is this why I don't have a boyfriend? The answer to all three: Well, he did say anything. So while...

My Cat Thinks I'm Funny. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. How (Not) to Eat Food in Class. Disclaimer: Slightly higher level of vulgarity in this post, my bad! Here's the conversation that convinced me. Friend opens a bag of Cheetos). Me: "OH MY GOD Cheetos! No Really. I LOVE Cheetos. At this point in the story, my friend, a ...

For your consideration: how concert environments tend to affect me. Frizzy hair, sweaty as fuck, EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE EVEN DOING OH MY GOD I'M SO WHITE I NEED TO LEAVE. Looping this like crazy. It's like a Tourism Spain commercial. I had to trade in my old Jun - the 6 year old Green Myvi. And I traded it in with another Myvi wtf. The new one is slightly upgraded in terms of specs, but I do miss having an unusual colored car. Dark colors are harder to spot in the parking lots. My dad suggested tying a ribbon to the antenna or something equally. Inducing, but I was thinking something more Fast and Furious like:. And add in some unicorns HAH. Nikon Coolpix Waterproof AW100!
