Briana Harter: Redefining the Boundaries
http://brianaharter.blogspot.com/2011/11/redefining-boundaries.html
Taking the first steps to self-discovery on the road of technology. Monday, November 14, 2011. With the rise in people making remixes of found material on the web, it is necessary to re-evaluate rights for each production. The development of the system of fair use was essential to lay a framework for determining infringement problems. Lary Lessig. Was there any value added in the remix like new understandings? Please view my video clip above! November 14, 2011 at 5:40 PM. November 14, 2011 at 11:48 PM.

Taking the first steps to self-discovery on the road of technology. Wednesday, October 5, 2011. The Rhythm of Order. The rhythm in a series of photographs has tremendous ability to establish a sense of movement. Robert Frank. Reflects on his book The Americans. Saying how rhythm had to do with "how much movement was in one photograph, how still it was, that it progressed more and more until there was more movement." In doing so, Sarah Greenbough. Briana Harter: Wrapping Up
http://brianaharter.blogspot.com/2011/11/wrapping-up.html
Taking the first steps to self-discovery on the road of technology. Sunday, November 20, 2011. For our final project, I made a one-minute video clip. I decided to expand on the idea of how each person is unique. I feel that society puts pressure on us to such an extent that we become mundane and blend into the background. Each person has unique qualities that make him/her different. On a side note, if you wish to check out my youtube channel, please click here. November 20, 2011 at 11:38 PM. The video wa...

Natalie Fordwor: Who knew a minute could be so long?
http://nataliefordwor.blogspot.com/2011/11/who-knew-minute-could-be-so-long.html
Opening a door to the world of digital art with an opinion influenced by many cultural backgrounds. Monday, November 14, 2011. Who knew a minute could be so long? At the beginning of the project, I thought I would be done with the video within a few hours.I mean, it was only one minute clip. A few hours turned into days. Finding ideal clips for my video was a difficult task. I now see what Duchamp. In two articles, one by Lawrence Lessig. And another "Measuring Fair Use: The Four Factors,". The lines are...

Deborah Levinson: October 2011
http://deborahlevinson.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Flipping through magazines at the Watching. We had a little art shindig today. To be more precise, we exhibited our photographs in the Mudd Gallery. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. So Books Aren't Dying? I'm a little surprised, given my normal trepidation for all things modern and technological, but I'm sort of interested in this whole book thing. Lately I've been making tons of handmade paper and I've learned to bind my own books, so I'm a bit intrigued by this commercially printed book. Skin: the final cut.
Deborah Levinson: There Is No Spoon
http://deborahlevinson.blogspot.com/2011/11/there-is-no-spoon.html
There Is No Spoon. Let's chat about the truth. Reality is quite a tricky thing. Personally, I turn to the The Matrix for some answers (just the first movie, forget about the ten thousand sequels), because Neo really did a lot of the searching for me. And I'm happy to take advantage of other people's hard work. After all, "it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.". Transatlantic Sub-Marine Cables Reaching Land. Avon, New Jersey. What I'm wondering, is why I want Simon's "truth"? I love your co...

Deborah Levinson: Surveillance is Creepy
http://deborahlevinson.blogspot.com/2011/09/surveillance-is-creepy.html
I'm a huge fan of Hitchcock's film Rear Window. But I didn't. In reality, I felt horrible about capturing people's small moments on camera. I guess it's one thing to watch a personal moment and another to keep it for eternity. To me it seemed like I was stealing their moment, and I felt even worse about it because I knew it would be posted on the internet. I hope my unknowing subjects don't mind. Some poor soul working out. And being photographed. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. View my complete profile.

A blog created for sharing my ideas, thoughts, and artwork with the world. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Watching: A Photography Exhibition. Watching: An Exhibition of Digital Photographs. Today marked an end to a sort of evolution of my Digital Processes’ class presentations of our digital photographs. We began this evolution with a stop on the World Wide Web, utilizing programs that are part of Web 2.0, such as Flickr. Will there someday become a “certified organic” category of photography? Was an inter...

Brian Ahearne
Gramophone collector, Author and Broadcaster - Television and Radio for BBC, ITV and RTE. Welcome to the official Brian Ahearne website. I first heard John McCormack, when, as a small boy, I was privileged to listen to him on my uncle's horn gramophone. He was singing "The snowy breasted pearl". It was to be the start of a love affair that has lasted to this day. Acquiring this rare gem cost me my entire collection, but was worth it to own this historic document!
