Wednesday, October 19, 2011. We are getting a dog. No, I can't believe it either. Everyone that knows me is completely shocked, rightfully so. There are so many reason why people would be shocked: I can't breathe around animals, I think they smell and the list goes on. We can all thank Stetson and Bentley for helping me realize that Miniature Schnauzers are the only breed of dog that I can be around and still successfully breathe, HUGE! So now we wait until Christmas for Scarlett or Rhett to come home...

The nursery is ready, his clothes have been washed and all his baby stuff has been assembled. We attended a birthing class and I've read several books. So I guess now we just wait. I know I need some form of exercise to stay healthy. I want to be healthy for myself, Peter and Preston. I want to be around for a long time. I want to grow old with Peter. Hopefully I will have grandkids one day and I want to be active in their lives as well. Right before I had Preston I "took a break" from running. That was a big mistake...

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Megan, another young teacher, and I were asked to be the new proud sponsors of "Hoops" Club. The purpose of the club is to allow students to play basketball during club time on Friday. Don't ask me why the school picked two of the youngest teachers to sponsor a large group of 16-year-old boys. Being the team players that we are, we accepted. Well guess what, our black and white flyer must have been persuasive. We had over 200 kids sign up for "Hoops" club. Really? Oh geez....

Monday, August 15, 2011. Wine, crepes and Swiss chocolate! I had never been to Europe and was super excited about this trip. We flew to Paris and then took the train to Switzerland to Zurich and Zug. It was amazing to see all the history and architecture. The weather was an added bonus, a high of 70! We didn't miss the 107 temps back home. Peter and I had a wonderful trip and we can't wait to go back to Europe. This trip definitely. Made me want to travel more. Here are some pictures of Switzerland:.

Sunday, March 13, 2011. All work and no play. well, maybe a little play. First of all, winter is not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be up here. The days are getting longer and there's plenty of sunshine. You just have to think outside the box sometimes to come up with fun things to do. We had plenty of fun on our walk down to the beach today. A nice and sunny day for a walk on the beach. Heading down to the beach. A beach covered in ice is so much more interesting than a beach covered in sand!
