They were going to try to remove the screw that had been placed in his hip in February for extra support, but they would have had to go through the bladder and cause significant damage, so they decided it wasn't necessary. Brian won't notice the difference, it just would have helped with his MRI scans. They put the mesh back down and closed him up around noon. Tuesday, February 22, 2011. My boys just can't get enough of this. Pretty funny. Friday, February 11, 2011. Wednesday, Brian hit #16 for his surgery count to date. He went about it in typical Brian fashion. He had to chisel away the tumor on his hip and cut down through the bone which needed to have a screw placed through the bone to hold it together.
