Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事: February 2015
http://markandjennyhsiao.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事. Friday, February 20, 2015. January started out snowy, but the rest of the month was very springlike. The warm weather was a blessing for us with all the work we have needed to do outside in the yard and on the house. I was very pleased to learn that Brian has a natural knack for cross country skiing. He loved it and was very good at it. Timmy got a few feet and decided he was done. Maybe in a couple of years he'll enjoy it more. There goes Brian leading the way into the field.

Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事: August 2014

Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. This is what happens when the kids are left to their own devices for a short time in the backyard. I came out to check on them and they were so engrossed in their mud slinging battle that I watched them for about five minutes before they even knew I was there. Then they blamed each other for starting it. I couldn't help but bust up laughing while I snapped a few pictures. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. In July we had friends over for a slip-n-slide BBQ&#...

His birthday was the day after Memorial Day this year. Sunday we had the Hsiao family over for dinner. Margaret brought cupcakes for Timmy! We talked to Nai Nai and Ye Ye and Timmy opened his gift from them. The best present ever, a whole pack a dried seaweed all for him! He went right to town gobbling it all up! He loves his presents. Timmy went ...

Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事. Monday, July 13, 2015. The best word to describe June is HOT! It was really really hot through much of June and our 45 year old air conditioning unit could not keep up and killed out during the hottest week of the month. Luckily we were able to cool off outside the house a bit. The boys had swimming lessons in June and are getting to be great little swimmers. We went to the park to fly kites at the beginning of the month. We did lots of playing with the goats. Timmy stayed in ...

Family Doc Diary: April 2011

Sunday, April 24, 2011. Sunday, April 17, 2011. While at Wood Badge, even though it is not required, I decided to write up goals for myself. One of those goals was to post a blog entry at least once a week. This is my journal and my life story. I want to be able to share this with my family as time goes on. I know that as I write I will be reminded of many ways that the Lord has blessed my life and the lives of my wife and children. I hope that through this I will be a better husband and father.

Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Luke and Sunny's Wedding. Mark's brother Luke got married at the end of June. It was the perfect day! We are so happy to welcome Sunny into the family! We got up on that beautiful morning and got dressed in our matching outfits, a perfect pink dress for me and pink ties for the boys. Sunny knew what she was doing when she picked her colors and what she wanted us to wear. Everyone looked so cute together! Then it was picture time! I don't know why I don'...

Hsiao House Happenings 蕭家事. Monday, January 12, 2015. I do enjoy ringing in a new year and the opportunity it provides for me to make some new goals! We went to Allison's house for our traditional balloon popping noise making party! The food and the company was excellent! Even though it was super cold outside, Mark set off some pretty good fireworks for us! Sunday, January 11, 2015. We rode TRAX downtown and enjoyed time at the Grand America and Temple Square. We went sledding and played in the snow.

Sunday, October 21, 2012. The Wednesday before conference we went down to the conference center and had a dress rehearsal. That was a great experience. Deanna came and listened to us rehearse. She commented that she had never heard a more beautiful arrangement of Love One Another. This comes from a very skilled and talented musician. (Deanna is going to be directed the stake choir for stake conference in November). Here are the links for the music at priesthood session. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Friday, November 23, 2012. Thirty Years and Counting. Lots has happened over those 30 years. Some of the numbers that amaze me are:. 11 years of schooling. 3 years of residency. 80 hour work weeks. 45,000 in school loans. 288,000 in groceries. 4 eagle scouts (almost 5). 4 high school graduations. This of course is just a partial list and there is much more to come. This woman is AMAZING! Monday, November 12, 2012. Music in the Home. Sunday, November 4, 2012. Monday, November 8, 2010. Ragnar Las Vegas Style. In order to run the Ragnar Relay you have to learn a new lingo. Words such as "leg", "kill", "van", "ultra" etc. have a new and different meaning. You have to run the Ragnar in order to learn the meaning of these words. Maybe we will do it again, maybe not. It is definitely one of those things that you need to check off of the "bucket list".
