Tuesday, June 30th. I got a late start out of Buffalo, SD so I stayed mostly on boring interstate to make up some time. I stopped at a Cabela's along the way. And purchased a new sleeping bag rated at 15 degrees. The sleeping bag that I left home with was, from my first night's experience,. Apparently not designed to keep anything warm. It was a long day as I travelled diagonally across Montana. I finished just east of Glacier NP. The campsite was $23 and it didn't take. Wednesday, July 1st.

I see some salmon fighting hard to get upstream -. Hard to see but there are actually 5 salmon in this picture. I wait for about 45 minutes and finally see a bear in Alaska.
