THE CAKE MUNCHER CHRONICLES
MUD, SWEAT & TEA: October 2007
http://briancruickshank.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
MUD, SWEAT and TEA. THE CAKE MUNCHER CHRONICLES. Saturday, 27 October 2007. Scottish National Cross-Country Relays. We finished 5th vets team which wasn't bad especially with a weakened team. I was pleased with my run and glad that I made the effort to turn out. Sunday, 14 October 2007. Giffordtown 5K Road Race. Placed 3rd / 1st vet. 17:05. Saturday, 13 October 2007. East District XC Relays - Dunfermline. East District Cross-Country Relays - 4K 14:08. Opening race of the cross country season. My back...
MUD, SWEAT & TEA: September 2008
http://briancruickshank.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
MUD, SWEAT and TEA. THE CAKE MUNCHER CHRONICLES. Sunday, 28 September 2008. Ceres 8 Mile Road Race. Finished 4th / 1st vet. 46:42. Cracking autumn weather conditions very similar to last year. Sunny but not too warm and very little wind. Right from the start Neil Gunstone shot off like a bullet with Tommy Lawrence chasing after him. I was in the second group along with Dave Burgess, Paul Roarty, Mike Harvey and a few others. The pace was fairly brisk but I was feeling comfortable with it. Heading towards...
MUD, SWEAT & TEA: Fife Nightmare Series - Maspie Den (2.8 miles)
http://briancruickshank.blogspot.com/2008/12/fife-nightmare-series-maspie-den-28.html
MUD, SWEAT and TEA. THE CAKE MUNCHER CHRONICLES. Tuesday, 16 December 2008. Fife Nightmare Series - Maspie Den (2.8 miles). Placed 5th / 1st vet. 20:57. The third race of the series was held at Maspie Den, Falkland. Unlike last year’s race we started off in the estate before climbing up through the Den to the waterfall and back down the opposite side. On the way down I could see that there were runners scattered all over the Den who had obviously taken the wrong route. Although everyone eventually fi...
MUD, SWEAT & TEA: Hartley Cup Relay Race
http://briancruickshank.blogspot.com/2008/11/today-i-helped-my-second-claim-club.html
MUD, SWEAT and TEA. THE CAKE MUNCHER CHRONICLES. Sunday, 16 November 2008. Hartley Cup Relay Race. Today I helped my second claim club, Anster Haddies to win the Hartley Cup. I really enjoyed my first ever outing at this relay race. There was a brilliant atmosphere, camaraderie and team support. We had glorious weather for running. A bit chilly first thing but it soon warmed up. A nice clear sunny day with hardly any wind. One of those days when you wish you could just run forever. Hartley Cup Relay Race.
MUD, SWEAT & TEA: Mars Bar Handicap Race
http://briancruickshank.blogspot.com/2008/12/mars-bar-handicap-race.html
MUD, SWEAT and TEA. THE CAKE MUNCHER CHRONICLES. Wednesday, 17 December 2008. Mars Bar Handicap Race. Finished 3rd fastest 22:52. Blowing a gale tonight so no chance of running a fast time. To be honest I wasn’t relishing the thought of thrashing myself around the streets of Anstruther and Cellardyke. Even though I hadn’t pushed myself that hard at the nightmare race the previous night I was still feeling a little jaded and was carrying a slight calf strain. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Research, Teaching, Technology. CFP for MLA 2019: What Do We Teach When We Teach DH? On February 7, 2018. A Special Session on Digital Humanities Pedagogy for MLA 2019. It’s important to acknowledge how that question is always already related to the question of how we teach digital humanities. We are interested in proposals that tackle one or more of the following three broad subjects:. The academic integration of digital humanities. Tensions between breadth and depth in teaching digital humanities.
