T.B.D. (to be determined): Heck of a week

http://www.briangarner.blogspot.com/2008/04/heck-of-week.html

TBD (to be determined). Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Heck of a week. Well it is almost 4AM and 6:30 AM is coming close. Sure thing, 6:30 AM did come way too soon. Nothing better than flying with 3 sick kids oh and Beth (the wife) decide she needed to throw up too. That sure was nice of her. Bella threw up one more time after we got off the bus at the airport. Don't worry, I'm not close to being done. I'm not even going to get in the fact that I got sick while with my sick son at the Hospital. Heck of a week.

http://www.briangarner.blogspot.com/2008/04/disney-day-1.html

TBD (to be determined). Monday, April 7, 2008. Here is a little journal of Day 1 of our Disney World vacation. . It all started with our plane being delayed for approx. 3 hours. We finally got to check in our Hotel at midnight. We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside. Resort. The resort was beautiful and huge! After going to bed well after 2AM we got up around 9ish and hit the pool by 9:30am. It was beautiful outside. The high that day (Wednesday) was around 85 degrees. There we ate at Captain Jacks.

The Piper's Cove: November 2007

http://piperscove.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 19, 2007. This is a place marker to remind me that I need to make out my Christmas list for the Michael Conners Gift Headquarters. Last time I updated the hamster situation, Hammy was leaping from the second story of his cage. He's still doing that, and he's not dead yet. I can, however, see the day that he jumps and breaks a leg and I will end up having to push him in some sort of hamster wheelchair. So, what's the update for, Mike? Well, Hammy now has yet another house. Days 3 and 4.

The Piper's Cove: February 2008

http://piperscove.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Wanted to call attention to a web site I came across - it's good. Friday, February 1, 2008. Christmas has come and gone and I remembered that I owed my blog a review of the Turducken we had for the Miller family Christmas dinner. We had 15 folks all told. I got it via Cajun Grocer. And went with the cornbread stuffing. Perhaps another time I may get the seafood jambalaya stuffing. And it tasted wonderful. The cajun spices made themselves known but it wasn't overpowering&#...

The Piper's Cove: Anatomy of a dying denomination

http://piperscove.blogspot.com/2007/12/anatomy-of-dying-denomination.html

Thursday, December 20, 2007. Anatomy of a dying denomination. OK, so I'm reading through some news recently and I come across the story titled " Archbishop says Nativity 'legend'. And many times one has to really dig in to the story in order to get to the real gist of what was said. Discard the first few paragraphs is a general rule. However, it's in the transcript of the interview. From which the story gets its genesis (no pun intended) that a truly amazing confession is contained: the Archbishop waffle...

The Piper's Cove: It is done!

http://piperscove.blogspot.com/2007/12/it-is-done.html

Monday, December 10, 2007. After much give and take over the past 2 years, the main course at my house for Christmas dinner with the in-laws will be a Turducken. There were concerns about the mixing of the different birds (tudkey, duck, chicken), what it would mean to food preparation for the day, the type of stuffings available. I realize that it's not easy giving up or changing anything, let alone what's served for Christmas dinner. I'll report back with a review. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Piper's Cove: August 2007

http://piperscove.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 21, 2007. I need one of these outfits. At the Dublin Irish Festival, each year there is a historical re-enactment group that camps and presents aspects of like from Brian Boru's Ireland. About the year 1000 A.D. (That's right - A.D., not B.C.E.). The family went to the DIF after the Feis and one of the things we did was to explore Brian Boru's Ireland. But while we were talking just off the main drag at the Dublin Irish Festival, we had a couple of interruptions. First one was a couple of...

The Piper's Cove: A bit of piping

http://piperscove.blogspot.com/2007/12/bit-of-piping.html

Thursday, December 6, 2007. A bit of piping. Had a chance to help out a friend and do some piping at the same time last night. Brian McCoy, founder/leader of The Kells. And multi-instrumentalist (flute, tinwhistle and uilleann pipes) is looking to either purchase a new set of uilleann pipes or augment his existing set of pipes. So, my set, made by Seth Gallagher. Was on his list and it was a good time with Brian talking and playing about Irish trad music and pipes. It's especially true in this Christmas ...
