http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. Tour de Arkansas - Vol 2. Still recovering from our night in Ozark, our goal for Day 2 was to work our way to Branson, Missouri, then circle Table Rock Lake, ending the day somewhere between Eureka Springs and Harrison. We headed north on AR-23, which is also known as the Pig Trail Scenic Byway. As it rolls through the Ozark National Forest. Tunnel of leaves and switchbacks along the. Thunder Road Motorcycle Lodge: April 2011
http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. The Bikes That Built Me. A fellow blogger, Gary France. Recently published pics of the bikes that he has owned in his lifetime. After reading it, I began thinking about the bikes that I have owned and realized that these bikes did, in many ways, build me. Photo from the Internet. Three, despite what it looks like when Evil Knievel does it on television, coming down after a high jump can hurt! Why didn't they ever include those, "Please don't try this at home" warnings back then?

Thunder Road Motorcycle Lodge: Too Cool!!
http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2011/06/too-cool.html
Tuesday, June 28, 2011. It used to be tough to be cool. But not anymore. For anyone who regularly experiences outdoor activities in high temperatures, they know first-hand that heat stress is the enemy. So with the summer heat beating down upon Texas, I began researching ways to temper the brutal sun. While much more comfortable than a cotton t-shirt and underwear, the micro-fiber can't adequately battle the 95 degree temperatures of the South and Southwest on its own. So I looked further. The HyperKewl ...

Thunder Road Motorcycle Lodge: Rider Down!!
http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2011/05/rider-down.html
Sunday, May 15, 2011. As I accelerate out of a turn, I always check my mirrors to ensure the riders behind have followed. I love to watch the smile on their face as their headlights straighten back up. But this time was different. Just as I went to look in the mirror, I heard a screech and saw the smoke of a skidding tire, followed by bike and rider flipping in the air. Phil didn't make the turn. For all the things that went wrong yesterday, a few things went extremely right. At that point, it was determ...

Thunder Road Motorcycle Lodge: February 2010
http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 1, 2010. Ran across this on the Harley Davidson Forum tonight (author unknown) and it really struck a cord with me.hope it does with you as well. I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection outside the store as I walked in. I saw you; pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall. I saw you, stare at my long hair. But, you didn't...

Thunder Road Motorcycle Lodge: Tour de Arkansas - Vol 1
http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2009/12/get-your-teeth-ma-were-headed-to.html
Monday, December 21, 2009. Tour de Arkansas - Vol 1. With the brutal North Texas winter approaching (we're likely to be under 50 degrees for 2-3 weeks! It's time to face the reality that we'll only have a couple of weekends a month to get in some decent riding. One ride that most everyone turns-out for is. The Big Texas Toy Run. A few years back, Scott (of. Fame) and I planned the perfect mancation. I refer to this run as the Tour de Arkansas and the plan was simple - ride till our nads were sore, then e...

Thunder Road Motorcycle Lodge: My Butt Hurts
http://thunderroadlodge.blogspot.com/2011/06/my-butt-hurts.html
Thursday, June 2, 2011. Sometimes I feel like Goldilocks when I get a new bike. I make my purchase decision based on the features and functionality of the bike as a whole, knowing that there will be certain aspects that I will want/need to change. And the process of making those changes is often trial and error. But hesitated at the cost and inconvenience. The H-D Road Zeppelin (RZ) was always an option, but I wasn't willing to fork over the big bucks for a new one with the recent experience on the o...
