In the summer of 2001 I sailed from Cardiff in Wales. Aboard RMS St. Helena, the last Royal Mail Ship in service. Along the way to Cape Town in South Africa, we visited the islands of Teneriffe, Ascension and St. Helena. I was lucky enough to stay on St. Helena for nine days. I'm. I'm a singer and play guitar as my main instrument. I also play a little Irish whistle and can scratch a banjo in a pinch. I come from a family that sang a lot when I was a kid. My cousin, Andy Ross, is a piper. He was formerly with LA Police Pipe Band and latterly the Los Angeles Scottish Pipe Band when they won Grade 2 at the World Championship in 1997.
