Life drawing, portraits and still life. I am fascinated by the formation of clouds and the wonderful complexity of the sky. Most of my work in this area is done on canvas with oils. I began to explore botanical drawing and painting over 30 years ago when we moved from Toronto to a beautiful country property in Carlisle, Ontario. Light on glass or crystal objects is another focus in my new work on the iPad. Most of my compositions are about immediate surroundings or valued possessions.

I attend a weekly four hour session with a small group of local artists at The Old School House Arts Centre in Qualicum Beach each Friday morning. I particularly like using a coloured ground paper with graphite and white pencil. The quality of the materials I use has always been a priority for me.

I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for.". Reflected light on any metal surface is fascinating to me. The WNBR held their London event on 14 June ,starting in Hyde Park and cycling about 5 miles around central London and ending at The Wellington Arch next door to the back garden of Buckingham Palace.As last year a very good natured group who seemed dedicated to their cause.I went with friends and we said a few of us will hire tandems next year and take part!
