the backbone of happiness « simply brianna

https://briannaboone1023.wordpress.com/2014/07/26/the-backbone-of-happiness

A view into my mind. The backbone of happiness. Every mother says that when they see their child for the first time they see themselves in someone else. That their life is complete and pure happiness is officially real for them. Well, what can make someone who feels like they’ve hit all time low to feel that happiness? When everything feels like it can never get any better, when every plan ever made has been shattered… then what? My self esteem has hit an all time low, and I’m afraid to go to the v...

A view into my mind. Http:/ www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/barackobama. One recent event that hurt my heart was the publicizing of racism in University sororities in southern Universities. I am apart of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority here at Iowa State, and I can say myself that racism is not something I struggle with while I’m with my sisters. Hearing that there had been girls turned away because of their race really opened my eyes. This entry was posted in School. The backbone of happiness →.

Atlantic Slave Trade « simply brianna

https://briannaboone1023.wordpress.com/2014/06/29/atlantic-slave-trade

A view into my mind. The Atlantic Slave Trade began with Prince Henry discovering the material resources and economic potential of West Africa. With the economy in Europe booming, and the New World becoming more and more populated, countries needed more hands than they had to produce necessary resources. Therefore, Europeans started to take trips to Africa in order to get the extra hands needed in order to keep their economy growing. Http:/ www.bing.com/images/search? Media and Segregation « simply brianna

https://briannaboone1023.wordpress.com/2014/07/07/media-and-segregation

A view into my mind. Today media portrays it like black people make up almost 50% of the poor American population when they actually make up less than 1/3 of the population. On the other hand, the media makes it seem like whites make up less than 27% of the poor population when they actually make up almost half of it (Gilsens). This entry was posted in School. Chapter for Chapter, Word for Word « simply brianna

https://briannaboone1023.wordpress.com/2014/08/04/chapter-for-chapter

A view into my mind. Chapter for Chapter, Word for Word. When I get into my deep, late night thinking I tend to think about things that go beyond the knowledge that I have. I’ll start thinking about something as simple as a butterfly and end up thinking about something so complex that even I can’t explain it. I mean what makes each human what they are? They say curiosity kills the cat, but how can you not be mind blown thinking about our earth and the creatures on it? Every single human is different!

Cucina a piedi nudi | To cooking and living in barefeet

Cucina a piedi nudi. To cooking and living in barefeet. A bowl of ribollita. Asymp; Leave a comment. Which represents an era when doing more with less was the name of the game. It defined a period in Italy when an impoverished, war-torn country struggled to rebuild itself and food was scare. Shortly after my trip to Florence last week, I found this passage in Paul Bertolli’s. Where he explains how his travel to Italy has influenced his philosophy as a chef. Never sprinkle cheese on top of spaghetti and c...

April 29, 2014. So about a week ago Danielle comes downstairs to where Charles (my boyfriend) and I were. She then proceeds to say “So you know how I know when you two have cooked something? When I see all your dirty dishes not done! Three days later (today), I went into the kitchen and saw that the dishes were STILL not done! How gross is that right? So, I took a friendly picture of her work and sent it to her while she was at class saying “You know how I know when you’ve cooked? April 28, 2014. Below i...

I recently wrapped up my supporting role as Peyton in the independent feature film The Beloved with ADR. It was a lot of fun! I even made a "giggle reel" due to all of the laughing that I do in the movie. So it was just me sitting there laughing uncontrollably for five minutes for absolutely no reason, except this time it was recorded. :). When not performing Bri enjoys working in the costume shop, baking, anything crafty, and composing laments about her misplaced car keys. Oh, and her dog? JC Barone, Dir.

I am the vine, you are the branches. Life, Family, Art. See a need, fill a need. August 12, 2016. The little boy I babysit LOVES the movie. Our host, who needed help due to a bad knee, exuded hospitality, preparedness, and friendliness. She made us lunch and dessert, provided countless water bottles and cases of Gatorade, and had all of the supplies we could ever need to be successful with this project. It was great to spend the day with her and get to know her as we fellowshipped. The King will reply, ‘...
