http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 28, 2013. We are home . kind of. We spent the last week at Rush Week in the Branson, Missouri area with some of our favorite peeps . Our church's youth group. These kids. I don't really have adequate words to say how much I love them. How thankful I am for them. How excited I am to see them want to be close to God. To have Him use them. To have Him be real in their life. To have Him be their King Jesus. Love. Love. Love. Those who cling to worthless idols,. So, yes. We are home. Kind...A Lov...

The Texas Townsends: Thankful for 22 Years ... and Counting!
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2014/11/thankful-for-22-years-and-counting.html
Sunday, November 2, 2014. Thankful for 22 Years . and Counting! I think we can all agree that there are things in our lives that we would do completely differently given the chance. So many things. Because for one . my wedding dress would have had a longer train to swoop around me for the pictures. There is one decision that I would never change. And that would be saying "Yes! To Dean when he asked me to marry him. Tors amazing class schedule next semester . all him. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Texas Townsends: November 2014
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. I Really WAS Thankful . So, on November 1st I said I was going to blog every day the things I was thankful for . and I knew. I knew that I wouldn't make it to day 5. Because my track record . These are the things that November has taught me. In the goodness and the hardness, Jesus is enough. I found this draft on my blog posting thingee a year after I wrote it. Why didn't I publish it a year ago? Monday, November 3, 2014. She is currently living in Aggie Land . and loving e...

The Texas Townsends: Summer Is Here
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2015/05/summer-is-here.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. It happened today . summer arrived! I got a little giddy after I was finished with my pity party that my littles are first graders. The end of the year is bittersweet for teachers. Mostly a lot of bitter. There are lots this year. A trip to the beach. A trip to Orlando for a teaching conference right after. And then a quick family meet up at Glacier National Park to celebrate my sister's birthday. And that is just June. And when did it become a thing that identified you as old?

The Texas Townsends: March 2015
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 2, 2015. I should make that into a tee-shirt. But, seriously, I spent my morning dwelling so much in the hard, wishing for Spring Break, wanting the day to be over . that I nearly missed the blessing that is Monday. For one thing . my desk is clean. Oh I joke. Because at the beginning of the year I went all rogue and got rid of my desk. But my little area is clean. I can't guarantee this will still be true once Wednesday rolls around. And finally this . at some point in the day I stoppe...

The Texas Townsends: Beyond Thankful
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2014/11/beyond-thankful.html
Monday, November 3, 2014. Y'all I am crazy about this chick. She is one of my greatest blessings. And I cannot believe God found me worthy to be her mom. She is in love with Jesus. She is smart. And hilarious. She is a hard worker. She is loyal. She is kind. She is quick to forgive . even when it isn't deserved. I love getting texts from her . even the ones that ask if she can wash certain clothes together! My favorite one today? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Texas Townsends: A November of Thanks
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-november-of-thanks.html
Saturday, November 1, 2014. A November of Thanks. I woke up this morning and it was not only November, but it felt. Like November. 55 degrees in Houston? There was a time when November was all about Thanksgiving. Today? Not so much. We seem to skim over Thanksgiving to get right to Christmas. And Christmas? Somehow we have forgotten the whole meaning of Christmas because TINSEL! Y'all Friday was the hardest and sweetest day of my teaching career. Because WHY were we dressing in the same costume? So on No...

The Texas Townsends: May 2012
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 14, 2012. It's That Time of Year Again. I started conferences today. I will finish on Thursday afternoon. At which point I may be completely talked out. (Insert Dean praying here.) I will definitely be cried out. Four conferences today . I teared up or started crying in all of them. I am a professional. My prayer this year has been that God would be glorified with everything that happened in my classroom. That He would be seen clearly in not only me, but in this amazing class of littles H...

The Texas Townsends: July 2012
http://thetexastownsends.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2012. We are home from a week in Branson, Missouri. And I am full to the brim. Full. To say it was incredible is an understatement. And I am struggling to adequately put into words all that I have seen. So, for now, I leave you with this . Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Selah)" Psalm 46. Friday, July 13, 2012. I took my Kindergarten class to the beach fo...
