Nameless Rantings: Thriller on YouTube
http://namelessrantings.blogspot.com/2007/01/thriller-on-youtube.html
Saturday, January 27, 2007. And I stumbled across some funny stuff on YouTube a little bit ago. So here they are, three versions of Michael Jackson's "Thriller." First, the original:. I had to post that one because Brianne had actually never seen the video. Of course, considering how young she was when it came out, I guess that's understandable. However, the real reasons for this post are these two funny versions. First, someone recreated it (including the big dance scene), with Legos! Now What Do I Do?

Nameless Rantings: March 2005

Monday, March 28, 2005. Real ID Theft Threats. When most people think of computer security issues, they think of viruses, worms, firewalls, etc. In other words, all sorts of technical stuff that they don't understand. However, a survey at the Infosecurity Europe trade shows, once again, that biggest threat to computer security remains the users themselves. 200 people were offered a chance to win free theater tickets for answering a 3 minute survey regarding theater-going attitudes. The results:. This is ...

Nameless Rantings: October 2005

Tuesday, October 25, 2005. I found this post. Rather interesting. It does a nice job in pointing out why same-sex marriage and polyamorous/polygamous marriage are two separate issues and there is no slippery slope from the former to the latter. The most interesting aspect is that the writer discloses that his/her living arrangement could be considered a polyamorous marriage. Posted by Michael @ 5:07 PM. Posted by Michael @ 1:09 AM. Nameless Rantings: May 2005

Friday, May 27, 2005. Addendum to the Quran Discussion. Perhaps I spoke a little in haste. A day later than the BBC, the news about the FBI's report regarding abuse of the Quran has made the front page of CNN.com. None of these five incidents was a result of a failure to follow standard operating procedures. In place at the time the incident occurred," Hood added. Investigators also identified 15 separate incidents where detainees themselves mishandled or inappropriately treated the Quran. So now the dis...

Nameless Rantings: June 2005

Thursday, June 30, 2005. Too Good For Words. I had to laugh when I saw this article. About Microsoft's talks to buy Claria. I mean, wow. I'm flabbergasted. Perhaps the two most despised companies in the tech world could be merging. Microsoft, with its horrendous security mechanisms. And Claria (formerly Gator), one of the most notorious spyware companies to have existed. I guess this way Microsoft can profit off of their shoddy security. I was just reading the comments on Slashdot. That just made my day.

Friday, July 22, 2005. Yes, that's the new name. Of Microsoft's new version of Windows, formerly code-named Longhorn. Are they serious? Posted by Michael @ 12:15 PM. Thursday, July 21, 2005. Aren't Activist Judges Supposed To Be Liberal? I just read this post. So, looking at the current court, who are the activists? When a law is challenged, these percentages reflect the judges' propensity to strike down the law:. The interesting (but obvious) observation is that this once again demonstrates that Bush is...

Nameless Rantings: The Hiatus and an Update
http://namelessrantings.blogspot.com/2007/01/hiatus-and-update.html
Tuesday, January 16, 2007. The Hiatus and an Update. So, my lovely wife. Now that I'm here and looking at my class load, I must admit that I do feel slightly overwhelmed. There is a definite difference between grad classes here. Than at my old school. Having said all that, I need to get on the road since my office hour is over. I'm not sure when I'll have a chance to post again, but now you understand why! Posted by Michael @ 3:44 PM. I liked hashes a lot in that class. and B trees. Now What Do I Do?
