Saturday, June 21, 2008. Racing to make up time. About La Sierra. I believe the school was closed due to a shrinking student population. I don't know the exact details concerning the demise of the PE program - I heard a few rumors about why it didn't go forward after the school closed. In 1962 JFK and Bud Wilkinson did want to use LS as a model for the Nation. I assume other high schools were also appraised. The unique thing about LS in those years was the national recognition.
