Ponderings and the Like: October 2012
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Sunday, October 28, 2012. Please, Show Some Respect. I don't generally say much political on here but.I feel I must stand up for myself and those like me. I am a conservative Christian. No, I don't think people should starve, be homeless, I don't agree with hate crimes, or think racism should be allowed. I don't hate immigrants, or even illegal immigrants. I don't want to take away rights and equality from women, after all, I am one. I belie...

Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Saturday, July 18, 2015. Bryce Canyon and Zion - Masters of Rock. Sunrise at our campsite. We exited the park and drove into Fairyland Canyon. Anything named Fairyland already has my interest. I admit I was a little disappointed at the lack of wildflowers I had hoped to find in Fairyland (shouldn't there be wildflowers or ferns or something? Starting to descent on the Queen's Garden Trail. Two Bridges on the Navajo Loop. East entrance of Zion.

Ponderings and the Like: The Faces of Christianity - A Tribute to My Friends Who Serve
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-faces-of-christianity-tribute-to-my.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Sunday, December 28, 2014. The Faces of Christianity - A Tribute to My Friends Who Serve. For it is by grace. You have been saved,. 8212;and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—. Not by works,. So that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork,. In Christ Jesus to do good works,. Which God prepared in advance for us to do. 8220;Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,. Where moths and vermin destroy,.
Ponderings and the Like: August 2015
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. And so I've quit my job. Could I handle going through the process and then miscarrying, which is a real possibility? Ltimately this is all in God's hand, but is all that worth my desire to have my own flesh and blood? Especially when there are children out there who need good homes? Does a child have to be my flesh and blood to make it special or can any child brought into our home and lives be just as special?
Ponderings and the Like: Big Cottonwood Canyon
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2015/07/big-cottonwood-canyon.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Monday, July 13, 2015. I was thirsty, it was a warm day, but I didn't want standard coffee from a chain, so I found a shop called Nostalgia a few more blocks down and even though it wasn't rated the highest on Yelp, people commented on the nice atmosphere. I began to walk and passed a pretty little Episcopalian church - actually the headquarters in Utah. It was closed, so I couldn't go inside. I think we stopped every few yards taking. Drivi...
Ponderings and the Like: July 2012

Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Maybe It Was Memphis. Sunday, July 29. We were brought in and sat down a booth near the counter. The counters did have elbow spots where people over the years have rubbed off the design. It certainly felt like we stepped into the fifties. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes, eggs, bacon, and grits. This was what was recommended online, so that's what I did and it was well worth it. Posted using BlogPress from my iPad.
Ponderings and the Like: January 2014
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Thursday, January 16, 2014. Paddling the Palawan Underground River and the Long Road Home. Wednesday, January 8. I loved the dessert - it was some kind of ube and coconut type gelatin mix. Chris wanted to sit in front and be able to control the battery powered spot light. He turned it on, and our guide paddled us into the mouth of the cave. I dreaded getting back in the van and hoped and prayed he would drive slower since we weren't trying t...
Ponderings and the Like: January 2013
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Wednesday, January 9, 2013. A Fiery Send Off - January 5th. The only few things we had on our agenda today was to eat at the two restaurants that Andrew wanted us to try and to get to a store to buy some Italian wine and food to bring back. It was a fairly lazy morning. Angela and Joann had left early to drive to the Slovenian caves and castle as we had done earlier. Afterward we began to hear fireworks going off again. I guess to celebr...
Ponderings and the Like: Laundry Day and Date Night
http://klstil.blogspot.com/2015/07/laundry-day-and-date-night.html
Ponderings and the Like. Just some of my thoughts written down. Monday, July 13, 2015. Laundry Day and Date Night. Chris loved our carbonara, and I liked it, but not as much as he did. He loved the egg on top that had a yolk that broke and ran yellow as we mixed up the pasta. That's what made it for him. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Brian Stiles on Software Development Issues
Brian Stiles on Software Development Issues. Thursday, August 7, 2008. Software quantity begets quality more easily than vice versa. The following post has a somewhat provocative way of saying that software quality can emerge from a focus on quantity much more readily than quantity can emerge from a focus on quality:. Jeff Atwood on Quality versus Quantity. Of course, to call the first attempts failures is to use a bit of hyperbole. The first attempts usually turn out somewhat positive, but not...

For now, it is a place holder so my Cisco buddies (Dan, Dave, and Ed) didn't jack my domain name and do sordid things with it. 1 nasty: demonstrating the worst aspects of human nature such as immorality, selfishness, and greed. 2 squalid: dirty and depressing.
