AUSTRALIA WIDE: ABERDEEN NSW
http://briansaustraliawide.blogspot.com/2011/04/aberdeen-nsw.html
Friday, April 29, 2011. The small town of Aberdeen is situated 242 kilometers north of Sydney and today there is hardly a movement from the quiet 1100 residents that call the small town their home. Quiet streets with family homes are the main attraction these days with a couple of churches, a few shops and a railway station for commuters to Newcastle, the main employer for the town. People left in hundreds leaving the town almost desolate. Below are some of the photos of this time. Subscribe to: Post Com...

AUSTRALIA WIDE: COOBER PEDY OR BUST
http://briansaustraliawide.blogspot.com/2014/01/coober-pedy-or-bust.html
Friday, January 10, 2014. COOBER PEDY OR BUST. Coober Pedy is located 846 kilometres north of Adelaide and has an average rainfall of 139mm. Most of the houses here are located underground to beat the dust storms, and extreme heat with temperatures ranging from 30 to 50 degrees Celsius. Houses are constructed by tunneling the house out of the ground with a machine that leaves no imperfections and has a red and white pattern left on the walls. The railway filling station. AUSTRALIA WIDE: CARCOAR NSW Sleepy town of the west
http://briansaustraliawide.blogspot.com/2011/04/carcoar-nsw-sleepy-town-of-west.html
Sunday, April 24, 2011. CARCOAR NSW Sleepy town of the west. The sleepy town of Carcoar lies just west of Blayney N.S.W. and one would think from its past history that it wants to stay that way, SLEEPY. Quiet streets with hardly any one about and locals that keep to themselves, this is a lovely town not to be missed by the roaming traveler. It has gorgeous buildings that have never changed, streets that have a colonial atmosphere to them and churches that are straight out of the 1800s. In 1893, Bertie Ed...

AUSTRALIA WIDE
http://briansaustraliawide.blogspot.com/2011/04/hill-end-nsw-apart-from-occasional.html
Sunday, April 10, 2011. HILL END N.S.W. Apart from the occasional farmer coming to town for Supplies, Hill End lies sleeping with buildings of yesterday scattered from one end of town to the other waiting for the hustle and bustle to return. If you stand in the street and listen, you hear the deathly silence all around, in trees that whisper in the wind and lonely houses that hold many memories of lives gone past. Friday, May 13, 2011. Of all the places I have visited on the east coast of Australia, one stands out far more than any of the others and that is the small seaside town of Lake Conjola NSW. Three hours south from Sydney, this beautiful little village situated right on the east coast of Australia is visited by tourists all year round, whether it is for a fishing expedition, going surfing, boating or just to get away for awhile to calm down after a busy lifestyle . Lake Conjola has a large caravan and camp...

Sunday, December 15, 2013. THE STORY OF LISMORE'S GLOWING CROSS. Our story begins in 1907 when a railway worker trying to stop a railway carriage from running away, was knocked down and killed . AUSTRALIA WIDE: LISMORE NSW
http://briansaustraliawide.blogspot.com/2013/12/lismore-nsw.html
Saturday, December 14, 2013. Lismore N.S.W. is situated on the Bruxner highway 46 kilometres south west of Bryon Bay. There are a lot of rain forests in the area what the locals call it THE BIG SCRUB but it is all part of the NIGHTCAP NATIONAL PARK. This town is subject to massive flooding and has been an ongoing cost to the state government for many many years. In 1954, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh stayed at THE GOLAN HOTEL and because of flood waters they were nearly isolated. I Googled Ea...
