I'm a software engineer but a storyteller at heart. I created Log4JFuge to turn any computer log file into a percussive music stream so you could listen to your programs. I also create music with native woodwind instruments.

In the last ten years I've worked at several startups, some of which succeeded and some of which folded. I'm now working at an established medium sized company; still working hard and fast and in the cloud, but with more stable resources! I was previously a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Motorola Mobility. I now write a tips column for SearchAWS.com which is an on-line magazine covering the Amazon cloud. I have two active side projects: MoreScreenTime - an Alexa skill.

From Idea to Product. David Koelle’s Blog on Building Wonderful Software. The return of my blog! The return of my blog! December 18, 2009. Astute observers will notice that it’s been two years (almost exactly) since the last time I posted to this blog. I’d like to change that! So, what’s happened over the past two years? I twice presented JFugue at JavaOne (making three times total). A JFugue-based tool, Log4JFugue. Was featured in the September 2009. Issue of PragPub Magazine. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
