Since we had done so well with the change in vehicles, it was time to re-visit running into people at the mall.so.planned a run-in with my parents at the Bay (start of our routine). Why is the kiddo and all the adults always pissy.but I'm expected to tow the line with everyone's conflicting routines and then have to appease/calm down whomever's routine isn't being followed.SIGH! We then go to ...

After school we pull out a book for him to read to me and this was Friday's little gem that we hadn't read before. Soon after starting it, I said.we're going to try this.he laughed. I've gotten him to eat supper out of a green, orange and turquoise bowl by handing it to him saying.you get what you get and you don't have a fit. He laughs, but says.I like the blue bowl better.

We've had a few more running into people with mainly positive results:. In December, 2014, at the Singing Christmas Tree, we ran into his Psychologist, Carrie. He was at the verge of tears, but said hello, before he ran to the bathroom. THEY are all BIG wins! Lunch at school Grade 3. Thankfully, I was able to come on these days so I could help get him to eat. We have don...

I wanted to take PJ to a REAL movie (not just a 1/2 hr imax movie at TWOS) and found out that there weren't any kid movies out. I was surprised.I thought that there would be a ton of movies geared to kids.not so much. SoI bought tickets on-line and off we went. A real movie, on opening day, no issues.YAY! The next week was better.not only did he try to put his face in the water, he actually did a great job swimming on his back! Fast forward to week 9 of classes.and he ACTUALLY PUT HIS FACE IN THE WATER!

Please join me in my rollercoaster with ASD by following and commenting! Friday, May 30, 2014. Subsequent to my post earlier today, I went to pick up PJ from school and the class was outside playing soccer (well, PJ was just running around aimlessly). I could see his teacher, but not his aide. OMGdid I screw up royally? THIS IS WHY I DON'T TALK! Then I think.what kind of parent would I be if I heard my kid crying and saying that they are roughly washing his face at school or a person in authority is ...

Keeping Afloat: Christmas 2014

Please join me in my rollercoaster with ASD by following and commenting! Wednesday, February 11, 2015. It was another good experience. I got up at my regular time, made a final check that everything was good, turn on all the Christmas trees, took a photo of the tree and Santa's letter and went to wake up kiddo. GJA was up already and had the video camera ready. He wasn't sleepy at all and the 1st thing he said when he got out of bed was - I wonder if Santa came? Look how tall my little cutie pie is!

PJ does not like or want to each lunch at school - this year, however, there have already been a few times where he HAD to eat lunch at school or at a field trip. He doesn't like to eat with anyone else around.so we have had to find our own area to eat, but at least he's doing it on those few occasions. The last time we had lunch at school was last week, for his bake sale.

Please join me in my rollercoaster with ASD by following and commenting! Saturday, June 27, 2015. Anyhow, back to 'summer'.we weren't even back home from the last day of school for 3 freaking hours and we were already at each other's throats! Seems logical to me.its really hot out (30C) perfect BBQ day! He switches from nasty jazz (his routine) to nasty CBC radio 3 (PJ's routine).and YET AGAIN what I want to do and what I like is ignored, discounted, not even considered. More specifically.wha...BUTbecaus...

Please join me in my rollercoaster with ASD by following and commenting! Monday, January 5, 2015. When we went on this last family outing of the summer and I looked at the photos on the camera, all I could think of was that this 1 photo totally shows the journey PJ and I are on. We are together in a boat, randomly paddling, not really knowing what we're doing, which direction we're going, how long it'll take to get to the end.but we'll do it TOGETHER. LOOK at this connection. End of Grade 2 IPP. There wi...
