Hello there, thanks so much for stopping by. I believe that hand work is something that anyone can learn and enjoy. My journey down the path of hand work was started by my Grandmother, she patiently taught me to sew at age five. My mother taught me to quilt when I was a teenager. Creativity has always been a passion of mine. I collect antiques and primitive style furnishings so making seasonal wall hangings and dolls for my home is a labor of love. Friday, July 10, 2015. Hello my prim stitching friends! I hope that you are all enjoying a fabulous summer season. From the time I was a little girl (many moons ago) I have loved sweet corn! My grandparents had a very large garden and they grew an abundance of vegetables including sweet corn. July to me means that the sweet corn is ready to be harvested and frozen. We head over to our local farmers market and get it 6 dozen ears at a time! They then get plunged into a bath of ice water to stop the cooking.
