Life at the Bridge: 5 Reasons Why I Love Serving
http://bridgechurchag.blogspot.com/2013/10/5-reasons-why-i-love-serving.html
Life at the Bridge. Tuesday, October 8, 2013. 5 Reasons Why I Love Serving. In the months of October and November, our church family has two (2) different serving opportunities on our calendar:. 1) Old Tyme Days in Hutto (October 19; 7am to 10pm). 2) Fall Fest 2013 (November 9; 11am to 2pm). These events are what we call "bridge-building" opportunities. Our desire is to demonstrate the love of Jesus in a tangible way. We want to do more than. The Gospel, we want to. Well, it is! 2 It's a picture of GRACE.

Life at the Bridge: February 2011
http://bridgechurchag.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Life at the Bridge. Thursday, February 3, 2011. Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness. Lately, it seems I am spending a lot of time thinking about GRACE. It's such a common word that perhaps we don't often stop to fully examine its meaning. (neither will attempt to fully define it in this post, so don't worry.). For now, let me just point out that all of us are sinners, both by nature and by nurture, and that we need our sins to be removed/forgiven in order to have relationship with the holy God. Once we can ...

Life at the Bridge: October 2010
http://bridgechurchag.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Life at the Bridge. Friday, October 22, 2010. According to Stockdale, what separates people is not the presence or absence of difficulty, but how they deal with the inevitable difficulties of life. His own life experience confirms the powerful belief that one can actually come back from difficulties STRONGER, not weaker. Whatever they might be.". Simply put, this is our time. This is our destiny. We have been called by God to shine like stars in the universe (Phil. 2:15). Let's watch and be amazed as God...

Life at the Bridge: June 2010
http://bridgechurchag.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Life at the Bridge. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. About a month ago, I attended District Council - an annual meeting of Assemblies of God pastors in North Texas. The focus this year was on church planting. More specifically, on CHURCHES PLANTING CHURCHES. The guest speaker shared 3 paradigm shifts that we must have, if we are going to effectively build God's Kingdom in our city. Hope you are challenged by them, as much as I was. 1 We need to shift the focus from OUR problems. 2 We need a shift from SCARCITY.

Life at the Bridge: October 2009

Life at the Bridge. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Thanks for the Kindle. On Sunday, I was totally surprised by a gift at the end of the worship service: a Kindle from Amazon.com. To be honest, I had heard of them, but had never really seen, held, or salivated over one.yet. But as many of you know, I love to read, so I was thrilled to find out that this one device can hold 1,500 complete books! And it came with one book already loaded, "The Prodigal God," by Timothy Keller. Now, only 1,499 more to go. Someti...

Life at the Bridge: Blind Spots
http://bridgechurchag.blogspot.com/2011/01/blind-spots.html
Life at the Bridge. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Everybody has blind spots. That should be no surprise to you. The real question is, do you know what they are? Because I don't want to see them. As Jack Nicholson's character shouted in A Few Good Men,. You can't handle the truth! I believe it is our human nature to deceive ourselves. We want to think the best of ourselves. We forgive our own mistakes easily. We give ourselves the benefit of the doubt. We know what we meant. January 4, 2011 at 9:00 AM. Welcom...

Life at the Bridge: May 2010
http://bridgechurchag.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Life at the Bridge. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. What does God have in mind for us? Great quote from Henry Blackaby's book, "What The Spirit is Saying To The Churches". God is at work around us, and to accomplish this work He personally communicates His will to His people, inviting each church to join in his activity in specific ways. It is not for us to dream our own dreams of what we want to do for God. This is never the pattern of Scriptures. And here's the kicker. Monday, May 3, 2010. How true this is!
