Saturday, May 31, 2014. I made a shirt today. I cut it out last night and sewed it up today. I used Simplicity 1463. Trying to decide on short sleeves or long sleeves. I ended up going with long and adding the arm band as the pattern calls for. Side view. I like the hem line of this pattern. Shorter in the front and longer in the back. I lucked out and got the right side matched up pretty well. The left got a little off, but there were no tears shed over it. I think I'm going to like this shirt.

Saturday, May 31, 2014. This morning I made some baby bloomers for a friend's baby shower using a free pattern found here. Super easy. Super cute. There are no specifications in the instructions on what length to cut the elastic for the waist or the legs. I ended up guessing and doing 18" for the waist and just eyeballing it for the legs. Which is pretty much a miracle for my ADD sewing habits. I have about fifteen projects started and I keep losing interest or getting frustrated so I put things on hold start something else. Sunday, July 19, 2015. Allen Family Reunion 2015. July 19.packed up in the car beginning a thirty four hour drive to Idaho! We started out at two in the afternoon traveling through Kentucky, Indiania and Illinois. After all the boys had fallen asleep we told Goldie if she could stay awake for 30 more minutes she would see the St. Louis Arch. She didn't make it. By the end of the day we reached Wyoming and drove by the Wind Rivers. I wanted to jump out of the car, but just took pictures instead.

Sunday, July 19, 2015. Allen Family Hike 2015. Tuesday at the Family Reunion a bunch of us went on hike to Coffee pot Rapids. After about a mile everybody took a break to play in the water. Mom, Stuart and I took pictures. When we got going again, mom headed back to the car and Stuart decided he needed to hitch a ride on Aunt Charith.
