September 2, 2010 by bridgette. What I love most about this recipe is that it combines two of my absolute favorite flavors: chocolate and coffee. This is a really classic combination because the espresso rounds out the flavor of the chocolate, giving it a delicious rich texture. And because these brownies already have coffee in them, I never let myself feel guilty if I have one for breakfast. 1 stick unsalted butter. 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips. 1 cups sugar plus 1/3 cup for optional garnish.
