Exploring the extraordinary relationship between personal and planetary well-being. Dpp ’11: Messy & Busy. December 7, 2011. Middot; 10 comments. Like this photo, but I didn’t want to post it. I like it because it reflects a very real part of our everyday: messy and busy. If you look closely you’ll find Christmas in the photo, but you’ll also find Stone’s old He-man figures from when he was a kid and half-full can of unflavored seltzer. I know there is an unintended danger that happens when we fill our l...

Bright Catholic: February 2015
http://brightcatholic.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 20, 2015. On the first Friday of this new Lenten season, I am considering my fasts and sacrifices for the season. I am a person tempted to extremes; I tend to make hard plans. I then have to remind myself, frequently, that it is not possible to "fail" Lent. There were some words of wisdom in today's reading. This, rather, is the fasting that I wish:. Releasing those bound unjustly,. Untying the thongs of the yoke;. Setting free the oppressed,. Breaking every yoke;. This year, I am fastin...

Living a Bright Life! Practical ideas from your personal coach about having your life at its best and brightest. Friday, January 2, 2015. More is More, Less is More and More is Better! It's a new year I am celebrating one more beautiful year on this planet and 20 beautiful years with my dear hubby. I love. The new year and the new start. After several years of Six-Word Resolutions. To plan my leap into the new year, this year I decided to begin with images that evoke me. I started with Pinterest. Play ga...

Living a Bright Life!: Cross-Purposes and True Intention

Living a Bright Life! Practical ideas from your personal coach about having your life at its best and brightest. Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Cross-Purposes and True Intention. I'm on day 5 of a journey called a 10-day Family Recharge. Whatever your job is, try to imagine that a kind, creative soul came in and said, basically, "Just for today, what if you tried this? And I had an epiphany. But we live there. We cook all our meals at home - our kitchen is the heart of our family; 6 people are in this ...

Living a Bright Life!: The Sound of Morning
http://brightliferesults.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-sound-of-morning.html
Living a Bright Life! Practical ideas from your personal coach about having your life at its best and brightest. Tuesday, March 4, 2014. The Sound of Morning. When I was a youngster, I woke to the smell of coffee wafting through the house and when I went downstairs, I would hear the percolator doing it's work. This, to me, is the sound and smell of home. It is the sound and smell of love. Whatcha doing, Buddy? I'm singing "You are my Sunshine" in my brain, Mommy! Can you turn it on please? Anna Maria Per...

Living a Bright Life!: Crappy Anniversary

Living a Bright Life! Practical ideas from your personal coach about having your life at its best and brightest. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Several years ago, I sent a note to someone on the anniversary of a big loss. She wrote back saying, in short, she did not commemorate "bad" things. On the face of it, it seems like a good policy. But is it? Yes, absolutely. Forget? Dreena M. Tischler. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cross-Purposes and True Intention. 160;Im on day 5 of a journey called a 10-day ...

Living a Bright Life!: What Blocks Me
http://brightliferesults.blogspot.com/2015/01/what-blocks-me.html
Living a Bright Life! Practical ideas from your personal coach about having your life at its best and brightest. Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Sometimes inspiration comes from unexpected sources. Recently I came across these thoughts by producer Chuck Lorre:. That's why I choose to believe in, and depend on, an unchanging , eternal, omnipresent non-thing. . . I try to experience it. Clearly what blocks me from transcendence is judgment. If I were able to suspend having an opinion on drowning, other pe...

Living a Bright Life!: The Path: Elusive but Omnipresent
http://brightliferesults.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-path-elusive-but-omnipresent.html
Living a Bright Life! Practical ideas from your personal coach about having your life at its best and brightest. Monday, February 16, 2015. The Path: Elusive but Omnipresent. Pursue some path, however narrow and crooked, in which you can walk with love and reverence. Now, and quite unexpectedly, I'm on a path wide and bright which I can follow for some time. If you had to hang a sign over the fork in the road which I crossed last August, that sign would read, "Special Ed.". It's challenging work, don't m...

Bright Catholic: May 2014
http://brightcatholic.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 12, 2014. For Anyone Struggling as I Am . . . I have been quiet here of late, a sign that I have been struggling, faith-wise. I have one child who was just confirmed and is for the first time truly developing her life of faith, and another who has turned away from her faith. I've often wondered how I would have stacked up to the early Christians, who were tested at every turn and under constant threat of torture and death for living their faith. I am grateful for. This saying is trustworthy:.
