A picture is worth a thousand words. April 2, 2014. Of course, I do enjoy having doors opened for me and the general friendliness that is uniquely Texan. There are many things here that I have learned to love. Needless to say though, I was very grateful to be back in the culture that I understand even if it was just a few days. The timing was perfect and we were both recharged when we returned home. Everything’s got a moral, if only you can find it. 12 thoughts on “Broad shoulders”. Thank you, Selita.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Don’t expect a miracle. February 8, 2014. Here’s my point. A diagnosis of cancer doesn’t change who Phillip is, nor does it change what they have said and done to him. If there is genuine remorse, it comes from within. Why would either of these people think that with this reminder that life is short there would now be any desire on either of our parts to spend any of it dealing with these emotional hostage takers? A picture is worth a thousand words. April 24, 2014. Phillip and I are closer than ever. No matter what the challenge has been we have lovingly put each other first and I have even more confidence in what the future holds. Not a future unmarred by tragedy or trial, but a future where I can choose to see my world as a loving and nurturing place because of the people and ideals that I hold dear. 2 thoughts on “Pretty good year”. A picture is worth a thousand words. May 9, 2014. Because we both tire easily and I want to get my days and nights turned back around. But, for what? There is really nothing going on, in the near future, that makes this necessary. When Phillip returns to work and I resume my classes, this will happen anyway. I guess this lack of schedule, our recent lack of a social life in addition to the fatigue has us upside down. One thought on “Egg Sauce Ted”. May 9, 2014 at 1:39 pm. Our story. Our journey.

We go to a movie or out to eat and I forget for a moment that everything has changed. Then I’ll see the pain in Phillip’s eyes or we’ll start talking about the future and I feel punched in the gut. How do I begin to envision the future? A pound of cure. February 3, 2014. Phillip did heal quite quickly and his appetite seems to be generally unaffected. Or at ...
