One of the things I was so excited to do was mark Caroline's height on our family height chart. The day she came home! She is a tall girl! I made this chart before I started making the signs so now I would do things a little different but I still love the look! The first thing is to buy an 8 ft board not a 6 ft board because you might get a kid who grows taller than expected. You will hang it above the baseboard so you need start your measurements after measuring the baseboard height. We know our Carolin...

The Persimmon Perch: PORTER PEACHES
http://www.thepersimmonperch.com/2015/08/porter-peaches.html
Anyone ever been to Porter? Well chances are if you have had a peach in Northeast Oklahoma it came from Livesay Orchard in Porter, Oklahoma. (click HERE for directions). This past weekend we took a quick trip out there for a few bushels of peaches and one onion. My mother in law is the queen of cobbler and even made peach ice cream! Jack has a cantaloupe face! And his onion.the boy eats raw onions for snacks. It's weird but kinda fits his personality. Peaches Ready to Ship. August 12, 2015 at 11:01 AM.

WE FOUND OUR CAROLINE! I could not be more excited to let everyone who has prayed for her know that we know who she is now! Over the last few days we have been reviewing one particular file all to fall completely in love with a little girl living in an orphanage an ocean away from us. She has a smile that will light up a room and just make you want to squeeze her tight. That day can't come soon enough! We have submitted our EA (Electronic Application to Adopt her) to China. Victory is NOT an Accident. Over the weekend my husband and I got away with about 400 of our nearest and dearest friends to go see a movie called "War Room". This movie was made by the same men that made the movie "Courageous". And if you haven't seen that one it is a must see! We don't get out to see very many movies and Courageous was one that we saw on our annual anniversary trip in the fall about three years ago. It a story about Fatherhood. Satan and his angels are real and mess with us continually,...

HE KNOWS MY NAME. There is a song on the radio right now that is called HE KNOWS MY NAME that I just love. First, I've always been curious about what God has chosen as "my true name" and I guess I'll have to wait to find that out. But for now this song by Francesca Battistelli is just a great empowering reminder to be who God created us to be. Some of my favorite lines:. If it sells out I can make more. I wonder what in this song speaks to her? No comments, Post a Comment. In the meantime I'm secretly gl...

The Persimmon Perch: Party in the Pool
http://www.thepersimmonperch.com/2015/08/party-in-pool.html
Party in the Pool. There is something about swimming in a cool pool when it is near 100 degrees. There is something even better about it when your cousins and grandparents jump in with you. From being thrown high in the air to keep away with G's hat. Fun is had by all! Our littlest girlie is all about "swim swim" and just squeals with delight when we pull up to Bebe and G's house. What is your one thing or place that you do or go during summer break that is a must? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Persimmon Perch: SENIORS...THE ONES WITH ZITS
http://www.thepersimmonperch.com/2015/08/seniorsthe-ones-with-zits.html
SENIORS.THE ONES WITH ZITS. All Seniors have zits.except for one lucky duck who didn't on her picture day! This is my gorgeous niece who will probably kick me for talking about zits and her on the same page. But this time those two things just don't go together because I couldn't find one and I looked super close. Sydney had none, I had 10 (had to put back on my same clothes after my bath to go home), and my wonderful reflector holder got distracted and had a multitude.very "saaaaaad face"!

Mom of a Boy. I love my boys :) One of my favorite things about both of them is their love of dump trucks. I'm not sure why they love them but if it is choice of running or running while pushing a dump truck they will pick the dump truck every time. They often go at full speed and I know that when they crash it won't be pretty. So far we've been lucky. So I can't leave this post without mentioning this purple field of flowers. This ain't Texas! The Persimmon Perch: MADE IT
http://www.thepersimmonperch.com/2015/08/made-it.html
Times when kids are playing in the backyard I find myself sitting at the picnic table painting some of the random wood we have laying around the house. (There is only so much pushing a kid on a swing I can do! This past week I came up with four pieces that I have just added to the PPShop (Click HERE). Just to clarify. So far they don't seem to have a favorite and I'm ok with TCC actually if they keep up the first two years free program! Hint, hint) They are "awesome" for a desk or a boys room.

The Persimmon Perch: SETTING A GOAL
http://www.thepersimmonperch.com/2015/08/setting-goal.html
We got quite a ways before I heard Jack start to complain. He is on a. Snakecyle and that has to be hard on his legs to go too far. He also found a pet for the day. Wormster came along in his bike bucket. He's a climber that one we found him in the snake leaves several times and had to stop often to put him back in his bucket. Then I saw the underpass bridge and gave him the challenge. I didn't map it but it was at least a mile from where we started. He was so excited to make it! DIY GIANT SLIP IN SLIDE.
