Cross-posted to many groups). I purchased a beautiful torc (made by Danny Hansen of www.craftycelts.com) and some mugwort smudge sticks at a gathering this weekend. I am wondering if anyone has information about how torcs were used by the Celts (insular and/or continental), particularly information based on academic research/primary sources, although if you have information from other sources I am interested in hearing about that as well (just please cite sources whenever possible). Newbie: brigidshearth

I am a fairly new follower of Brigit - I came to Her through random chance. I was walking around a store, picking up some candles, and they had statues of goddesses from various pantheons all over. I looked at the Rhiannon statue, and then just. had this thought of Brigit. And it kept going. Her name kept echoing in my head over the next three days. Dreams of Sunshine (. Does anyone have any special plans for Imbolc? Are there any recipes you enjoy making, songs you enjoy singing? For me, I must always create something, of course - be it a sculpture or jewelry or even baking an artistic bread. I also make certain to have candles on hand, and there are some songs I enjoy. I must admit that I haven't had a lot of luck finding a Brigid-focused pagan group in the NYC area. I do miss gathering with others for the holiday! Post a new comment.
