Saturday, June 30, 2012. Chaoyang Park Part 1 (west). Chaoyang Park in Beijing is not just any park. It has amusement rides, a bathing beach, a lake, an island, and a shopping center. Is a part of the Titanic Rail Trail. That is currently being developed, connecting Palmer and Franklin. Currently, there are 2.8 miles of main trail with 2 miles of side loops and spurs connecting to the main trail. The main trail runs on an old trolley rail bed which used to operate between Springfield and Fiskdale (Sturbridge). The current trail section is on the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
