Bringing A Child Home. Just some of my thoughts…. I’ve had a pity party today. Pretty pathetic. So instead of dwelling on my problems and aches and pains, I’m going to count a few blessings- just from today. I am very thankful to be carrying a big, healthy baby. As much as I don’t want to be pregnant anymore I’m glad we don’t have the concern of having a preemie. Maybe because he is the oldest and the first to go through these struggles? I still love him dearly. He is a really good big brother! I’m...
Self-fulfilling prophecy? | Bringing A Child Home
https://bringingachildhome.wordpress.com/2012/05/21/self-fulfilling-prophecy
Bringing A Child Home. Just some of my thoughts…. I wonder how many problems with our childrearing (and other issues) we essentially cause… This may not make sense because I am just working out my thoughts on it. Maybe another way of putting it is training our children for something that is common in our children’s peer groups but not necessary- or even right. A few examples:. A few weeks ago we went to story time (and this happens with a LOT of kid’s books! Laquo; The weight of motherhood. Life As A Mom.

Bringing A Child Home. Just some of my thoughts…. The difference a few hours can make. I woke up this morning slightly refreshed… had my (several) cup(s) of coffee. And did some reading. I was flipping through an infant sleep book trying to get my ducks in a row for the next several weeks/months before/during sleep training and had the bright idea to write down a schedule. Not for exactly right now mind you… but for this fall. Well, the thought of the baby sleeping! Laquo; Don’t ever grow up. Enter your ...

Life As I See It: Breads
http://paulsbride.blogspot.com/2010/06/breads.html
I have long aspired to stop buying bread from the grocery store and make all of my own from scratch. What an incredible difference. Before sharing the recipe and how I served them here are the other two bread recipes I frequently make:. Is so very easy to make and is delicious - most especially with soup! It literally takes minutes to prepare the dough and then you can let it sit all day or all night and then just pour onto your baking dish. Seriously easy and so good! So tender and yummy. Add the water ...

Bringing A Child Home. Just some of my thoughts…. An update… laughing at myself. A few months ago I wrote this post. Comments : 1 Comment. For the 9th time in our marriage (of 7 years) we’re moving! Yes, I dread when asked my last five addresses. Thank God for Amazon.com, which stores them for me! 1 The most important “things” are my family- as long as we’re together we’ll be okay. 3 But getting rid of stuff is so freeing! I oscillate from keep to throw everything away! Use it or lose it! I wonder how ma...

Bringing a Dream to Life
Bringing a Dream to Life. Gestational Surrogacy - "The Journey". Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Niki sent me this pic last week. Isn't it adorable? She said they were getting fussy, so she picked them up to console. Kyla quickly settled, but Lucas did not. That's when Kyla reached over and took hold of Lucas' shirt and looked at him directly in the eyes. Niki said she couldn't tell if Kyla was saying, "It'll be okay, Lucas" or "Listen here, bub. Stop that! LOL Either way, looks like it helped calm him down!

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. Sunday, May 1, 2011. We have been busy letting Addie train us how to be parents. She's good at it! Finally after 3 weeks, we have time to put some of the pictures we have taken over the period. Addison taking one of her beauty sleeps. We're convinced of this because she keeps getting cuter! Andrea and I last week on my birthday; 2 days after Addie's original due date of April 26. Nana Moore (Andrea's mom). Grandma Miller (my mom). PaPa Moore meets Addie. Steve did an a...
