Being Mommy Frig: Alphabet Soup
http://becomingmommyfrig.blogspot.com/2012/02/alphabet-soup.html
Friday, February 3, 2012. S-T-O-P, stop Mommy, and there's going to be another one." I hear this each morning as we approach the first of two stop signs on our way out of the neighborhood. CJ is now able to quickly recognize his letters and digits. Brochiosaurs can't read Mommy! CJ tells me last night when I suggested that his stuffed animal should read him his bed time stories. This was a gift from my cousin and the first stuffed animal he has grown attached to since he arrived. What time is it Mommy?

Being Mommy Frig: August 2011
http://becomingmommyfrig.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Today I dropped CJ off in the transition class that he normally attends (18 to 36 months), but he was not there when I went to pick him up. I saw his show-and-tell ( Thomas the Train Goes Fishing. Easy reader) waiting for me, but there was not a chorus from all the kids in circle "Christian your mommy's here! There were three kids from his class that moved with him to join the 13 that were already there. Then next month there will be three more from the younger class moving ...

Being Mommy Frig: July 2011
http://becomingmommyfrig.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 21, 2011. CJ has been saying his numbers more and more lately. Not always that he is necessarily counting any particular item, but just kind of absentmindedly practicing saying them while he is playing or doing other such things. Interesting fact is that when he does start at the beginning he seems to always skip his age or maybe the fact that he always skips the three is why he tends to start at four or beyond. Saturday, July 16, 2011. A Day at the Museum. A new NRA member is born. Daddy ...

Being Mommy Frig: Holt Family Picnic
http://becomingmommyfrig.blogspot.com/2012/07/holt-family-picnic.html
Sunday, July 1, 2012. Some families eat an amount of Korean food and try to introduce to their child to Korean culture while others do not. It was nice to see the spectrum. Of course, it is easier for us that for others because of our location close to an H Mart; living in a large city with a nice sized Korean community nearby. April 4, 2014 at 4:18 PM. A Guide To Minnesota Accents | Filipino Bambino
https://filipinobambino.wordpress.com/2009/06/02/a-guide-to-minnesota-accents
Tips for Adoption Travel to the Phils. Fargo Trip →. A Guide To Minnesota Accents. June 2, 2009. I lived in Georgia as a nanny for six months when I was 20. In the 6 months that I lived there, I was teased mercilessly about my Minnesotan accent. Then, once I came home, I was teased about the slight southern accent I had acquired down there in order to not be so badly teased for my MN accent. What’s the deal with all the teasing? 8221; (David, how’s work going these days? Notice the accent on the esses?

Being Mommy Frig: June 2011
http://becomingmommyfrig.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. Christian's birthday party was a breakfast at his favorite neighborhood park - the SPARK. I was the one with park idea, but my mom was the inspired creative mind that came up with the idea of breakfast. This was after I told her that I thought June in the park would be too hot for most people. Here are a few pictures of the event:. CJ with the grandfathers. Bubbles with Appa and friends. Pops, Grandma, Cousins Casey and Sarah, and Aunt Ann. Papaw, Parr, and Giselle. Until last we...

Being Mommy Frig: April 2011
http://becomingmommyfrig.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. CJ had an amazing first Easter:. He loved his first Easter party thanks to an awesome coworker of mine. He was enthralled with his first basket this morning - the fact that contents had magically increased over night made his eyes open wide. He was shocked by how many extra people were in mass and handled the crowed pretty well. He thoroughly enjoyed a going to the train with his Pops, Grandma, and Nanny without his parents. He even thanked then without prompting. Tonight's dinne...
