Friday, August 17, 2012. We hit our one year home mark! Things are going pretty well. Life is busy and five kids in a variety of activities keep me busy, but it was surreal to hit the one year mark. We have been so very blessed and especially since the surgery, have been able to really move forward with relationships and interactions with family and friends since we aren't going to medical appointments out of town at least every month. Sunday, November 27, 2011. In the midst of this craziness we saw Emery's pictures, read her files, prayed, fasted and decided to move forward in a leap of faith. Her file seemed pretty straightforward. We weren't really ready to expedite the adoption. We had planned on a 10-12 month period to go through the steps and get all our finances in order. And I was a bit scared. Should we proceed with this adoption when surely there was someone else who was more ready to go forward? Monday, November 14, 2011.

We had recently seen Harry Potter, so everything straight has become a wand.
