Friday, August 20, 2010. The weekend we got home from Dauphin Island, our church had a end-of-summer bbq and water baptism. We all had a great time with our church family. As soon as we got home, Claire started on mum mums (rice rusks, aka baby food), she enjoys taking turns between sucking on the mum mums and sucking her thumb! Jake has really started enjoying removing his clothes, aka playing "nakey." This time he got his shirt off the long way, down his body and over his legs! She has the funniest way...

Thursday, August 19, 2010. While we were in Daupin Island, Jake had a very hard time with napping and sleep at night. He always wanted to "sleep in mommy's bed" then he would run into our room. One afternoon, I gave in and was letting him nap with me, but he was still being difficult. I finally said fine, sleep in the living room, and he hopped up onto the couch, AND FELL ASLEEP! Thursday, September 23, 2010. Jake is just like his mommy lately. Anything, abosolutely anything, that I do he NEEDS to do the same. Anytime we go anywhere, he needs his sunglasses and reminds me to get my sunglasses and not just put them on top of my head, like I do until we get out of the garage (where its dark w/sunglasses on), he wants me to put them on immediately! I can't believe that Claire already hit 7 months! She is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! Guess it's time to start making baby food. ...

Friday, October 1, 2010. Claire is already 8 months old! Today as I laid her down for nap, I am reminded of how she is such a good girl, I am so blessed! When she's tired, I don't need to rock her or anything, she just wants to lay down in her crib and cuddle her blanket. In the mornings when she wakes up, I really have to listen on her monitor, because she doesn't wake up crying, she wakes up happy and playing! October 12, 2010 at 8:12 AM. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He even actually slept for 2 hours after that. Tonight, when we put him to bed, he stayed up jabbering for almost an hour again! On of his new things he is doing is asking "what's that? Meaning "who's that") after I get off the phone. He has done it every time I've gotten off the phone in the last two days. Thursday, September 30, 2010. One evening while I was budgeting receipts, Jake picked one up and said "Walmart! A while back, I have mentioned that Jake has said "cereal makes me happy." Nowadays, he says a lot of different things makes him happy. "Giraffe makes me happy, Daddy makes me happy, Thomas makes me happy, etc.". And he said "my ride in Katelyn's car sometimes." Wednesday, June 30, 2010. When he got up he got to play out in the pools with his cousin, Rachel. After they came in, they happily chased each other up and down the hallway, while squealing, with their balloons (not sure where Jake's was in this pic). Claire also got to meet her cousins Grace and Eli for the first time. They just loved holding her, even though "she's slobbery.". Our trip to Atwood marked the first time Claire met Grandpa Tom. He loved making her smile. Claire also seemed to like him!
