Saturday 18 â Monday 27 May 2013. Gothic House, Charlbury OX7 3PL. I will be exhibiting as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks. I will be woodcarving in my studio. Sunday 26 May 2013. The garden is open under the National Gardens Scheme when entrance will be charged (Â 4). Sunday 1- 9 Monday December 2013. The SOTA Gallery in Witney, Oxfordshire. I like to work with old wood. Salvaged oak beams are the ideal material. I respect the particular character of each piece of wood, and aim to retain some of its history in the final work. Stone is the hardest and most intractable material for the sculptor. Its fine grain permits detailed work and enables a contrast between rough and smooth finishes. I accept commissions for portrait heads. The modelling of a portrait takes about three days and the work is subsequently cast in bronze or resin.

WEST MILL is a unique getaway. It sits alone just 400 yards from the sea in the Marsland valley traversed by the stream that divides North Devon and Cornwall. There s not another house in sight.
