Brisa .sitting at Blue Springs. Wednesday, December 24, 2014. We had great weather all the way across.5-10 knots of wind.could have been more consistent .seas less than 1 foot. These guys were with us more than not. Getting close and the seas are like glass. Daniel was great as usual. Must be Clearwater Beach.around 2 P.M, It was about 29.30 hours from leaving Carabelle to dropping anchor in the ICW just inside Clearwater Pass. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Brisa .sitting at Blue Springs. Thursday, February 27, 2014. Working on anything Mast while its down. Replacing some of the standing rigging. Replacing running rigging .staysail halyard.topping lift.adding another halyard for spinnaker.back-up etc. New tri-anchor light.checking all wiring, bulbs, fittings etc. Thursday, February 20, 2014. Daniel's school is close by the Marina.they have had children from the Marina in the past.and where very nice and helpful when I visited them this past trip down.

Wellwe hope all is well with our engine now.the leaks source has been discovered and stopped.the engine picked up something in the intake that heated it up some creating steam/vapor to come out the exhaust.first thought it was white smoke.that has since been cleared up and we were having trouble with our radio at the helm but once we replaced the plug. We really liked the town of Apalachicola and the folk's at the C-Quarters Marina were great.they gave Daniel a new fishing pole and set Elizabeth up with a new lure etc. It is time to leave only after one night since we have a nice weather window to head across the Gulf of Mexico to Clearwater! I have been working on the Wooden Model Ship "Virginia" built in 1819 During this period the United States began to build these small fore and aft rigged sailing "schooners". They were very fast and elegant at the time and because of this they were lightly armed and used for pursuit and intercepting tasks as a coastguard boat!
